"lol when I told my staff where I’d booked they said your staying in the murder hotel (no murders have actually taken place btw) but is there was a hotel you could be murdered in this is the place !!!! I had to share my room with about 25 silver fish insects running around my bathroom and when I showed videos of the rather massive insects I was told we will get pest control out lol ! Course you will ;) the school next door means if you leave for work at anytime between 8-9 am you are not going anywhere ! The parents are quite adamant you have no right being on the same road as them !!! I had to join the school drop off line just to get out!!!! My children are 26, 21 and 19 and I didn’t have them with me to drop off to school ! This place needs some serious looking at and some honest on the booking page "

"We booked this hotel and saw some of the reviews and were really anxious about what it was going to be like BUT and a big BUT we could not fault the stay whatsoever. Spa area was impressive with lots to offer well kept and clean. We had breakfast and the food was spot on. Staff were all super friendly and polite. The mini fridge was broken but still fully stocked with a vast array of drinks. Honestly you will not be disappointed if you go. I read the pool was could etc and for us it was beautifully warm maybe the other guests came when something was broken who knows but the place is amazing ❤️"

"The Grains bar hotel was selected over others primarily for its location which had several teenage memories. We were visiting family in Smallbridge, Rochdale ... 4miles away, so very convenient. Excellent greeting and first impressions. Ample seating areas, small bar area next to reception, large brekki, dining room but lacked atmosphere. Other rooms (not viewed incl Wedding venue) available. Good meals and menu. Rag pudding...well! Yes, the parking is a tad awkward, ie circa 20 spaces immediately outside the hotel. On busy nights manouvering into available bays is awkward due to angular layout especially if you are in a large/long vehicle ... but is possible pe. There is an overspill car park which is circa 25m x 25 squar immediately below the main car park so up steps to the hotel. Clean & tidy room, however well used and could do with refreshment. Staff very attentive. Would go again. Always room for improvement nence score."

"Great place to stay with a warm welcome. Rob and Jan are very friendly hosts, made us feel at home. A short walk into Todmorden and had a lovely day. Had a great sleep in a very comfy bed. All topped off by a lovely breakfast the morning after. Couldn't have asked for more. Hope to be back in the future. Thanks Toothless Mog for a lovely stay! 👍👍👍 "

"We stayed at this beautiful cottage last weekend and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The owners were incredibly helpful, especially when we let them know we wouldn’t be arriving until midnight — they couldn’t have been more accommodating. The cottage itself is absolutely stunning, set in a fantastic location with truly amazing views. We loved the peace and quiet, and it was the perfect place to switch off and unwind. One thing that really stood out for us was just how comfortable the beds were. As the owner of four furniture shops in Kent, I really appreciated the quality of the mattresses — they were exceptional. If we’re ever heading up that way again, we won’t hesitate to book here again. 100% recommended. "
