The Roost at The Southerner

Adorable pet-friendly cottage within walking distance to downtown Saugatuck and all it has to offer. Main room offers a gas fireplace, TV and full kitchen with a pull-out loveseat and space to dine. Queen bed in bedroom, ensuite bath with shower and laundry room. A/C, ceiling fans & shady location. Private parking and outdoor garden area. Perfect stay for a couple + 1. Be sure to take advantage of the popular restaurant The Southerner right next door. The restaurant can be quite busy in the summer so there's fantastic people watching from your private patio but it ends service at 10pm so no late night noise or commotion.

The most perfect Saugatuck stay!

As frequent travelers and having been to Saugatuck several times, not only was this our favorite Saugatuck stay yet, but one of our absolute favorite vacation rentals overall! The house was immaculate, so cozy, quiet and comfortable. The proximity to everything was wonderful-- walkable to everything downtown, yet removed enough from all of the crowds and hustle and bustle. Amy was a wonderful, communicative host and the house had everything we could possibly need and more! We cannot wait to come back and stay again-- it will be our go-to Saugatuck rental from now on!

Perfect cottage in Saugatuck

We had the best time at The Roost. Its a cute little cottage but packed with everything you could possibly want or need. Its even cuter in person with great artwork and cute little touches everywhere. Walking distance to town and a stone's throw from a fantastic restaurant. If you're planning a trip to Saugatuck, BOOK THIS PLACE! You wont be disappointed!

Excellent spot for enjoying town!

This was our second trip to the Roost! We highly enjoyed being able to walk to town and enjoy all that Saugatuck has to offer. A quick walk back and dinner was on our doorstep! I highly recommend staying at the Roost!!

Perfect Weekend Stay!

I stayed here with my husband and our 2 month old daughter and we had the perfect stay at the Roost! The location was unbeatable, we were able to walk to town in under 10 mins and with the Southerner next door we had amazing food right there. Would definitely stay here again :)

Nothing short of cozy!

We had a wonderful girls get away. Everything you need is provided in that house, and if it's not, you don't really need it. The perfect location for us to unplug, unwind and slow down, not to mention it's a short stroll to all the downtown gems! Thank you, Amy, for hosting us!

Lovely October in Saugatuck

Location was ideal - within walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants. And the owner was immediately responsive to a question before our arrival. I hope to stay again in the future.

Weekend getaway

Cute,clean little cottage

Property was cute and cozy. Clean also. Only drawback would have to be that its literally in a restaraunt parking lot. It wasnt too bad noise wise but the car traffic and a bit of noise,especially when the restaurant staff were getting off shift,was unexpected.

We absolutely loved our stay in this adorable little cottage. We have visited the southerner everytime we came to Saugatuck and staying right next door was such a special treat. It’s just a quick walk to downtown. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back and stay here again.

Clean and comfortable

The cottage was very clean and cozy! Perfect distance from downtown to be quiet in the evening but a nice walk to and from. From the eco friendly dish and hand soap to the compostable trash bags, everything made the stay wonderful. We will definitely be staying here in the future!

Quaint Cottage!

This place was perfect for our getaway in Saugatuck! Within walking distance to the shops on Butler and a short drive to the beach. So thankful we found this dog-friendly rental for our stay. Would definitely do it again!

Cute little cottage!

Perfect place for the two of us! We did a five-day bike rental from In the Elements, and it was easy to hop on the Blue Star/Beeline trail to Holland or ride the other way to Douglas. We ate at The Southerner next door two times and grilled at the cottage twice. Downtown restaurants are an easy walk, but we highly recommend Pennyroyal Cafe on Blue Star and Farmhouse Deli in Douglas.

Convenient and Comfortable

We had a great trip and stay in the Saugatuck area. The cottage was very cute, clean, and conveniently located to downtown Saugatuck and its attractions. The cottage had everything we needed, and Amy was very quick at responding to any questions. We walked across the parking lot to dinner at The Southerner, and walked downtown to The BARge, various shops, and the Star of Saugatuck. We were conveniently close to other places and did a dune ride as well as visited Holland. Great time and highly recommend!
