Independent in Hoi An

"I was a little disappointed in our stay here. Much more basic than the pictures depicted. Rooms clean. Staff friendly. Plugs for electronics in weird awkward spots. Air conditioner was filthy and my husband had to clean it. Very noisy- a lot of the rooms close to the busy road (but Vietnam tends to quiet down after 10pm so no issues sleeping). Nice and close to the heart of Hoi An for a reasonable price- I would have paid a little more for something a little nicer had I known the pictures don’t really show the true nature of the hotel. But it’s a fine enough place to stay for a few nights. "

"The property is a little run down and there are many vacant storefronts. It is still a nice hotel overall, but the photos online are somewhat misleading. The service staff personnel were very friendly and helpful."

The staff is incredible and the property is stunning. The food is unlike anything you’ve ever tasted so fresh and delicious. We can’t wait to come back."

"The hotel and room were very clean, and the staff were generally helpful. However, it seems that not all staff fully understand what “gluten-free” means. I became unwell after being told that the vegetarian quiche was gluten-free, only to later discover that it was not. There are limited gluten-free options available, mainly pho and some gluten-free cakes and bread. Additionally, there was little attention to the risk of cross-contamination, with gluten-free items placed alongside regular food and no separate tongs provided. I continued to feel unwell until I specifically requested that my bread be prepared and heated separately in the kitchen. While the hotel itself is well maintained, it felt overpriced for a five-star property, as there was nothing particularly special about the experience to justify the cost."
