This is the perfect holiday stay for a large family.
The house is well appointed with four substantial bedrooms and a small lounge room with a sofa bed that served well as a fifth bedroom. The property is conveniently loocated so long as you have a car. Bus services are available but a five minute walk away and less convenient. The ferry to Hobart is only about a fifteen minute walk, but does not run all day. Eastlands shopping centre is also within walking distance and has all you might normally need (Coles, Woolies, KMart, BigW, coffee) but the climb back to the property is steepish. A good walking track with great views of Hobart and Mount Wellington is at the back fence.
The views from the property's lounge and bedrooms are fantastic. you could spend a lot of time just looking out the windows at the river, marina and Bellerive town centre and surrounds. There is adequate off-street parking for at least three cars with indiividually unobstructed access.
The house was built circa mid-eighties and could do with some TLC. But pretty much everything worked, the kitchen was particuarly well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The house can be very warm in sunny summer weather and there is only one centrally located split system air condinitioner. That said, the large rear doors open up to give a good fresh air flow through the house and the morning sun is delightful.
We loved our stay and for our party of five adults and three young children it was perfect.
