"This was a great place to stay. My only quibbles are that the plastic cups used for the juices at breakfast were so flimsy they almost collapse in your hand (and seemed rather downmarket), a more varied selection of fruit would have been good, and some muesli."

"Excellent hotel and very friendly staff. Suite was beautiful and modern. We stayed in an upper level room with sloped ceilings, exposed wood beams and dormer windows; very unique and spacious. Loved having a kitchenette for quick meals but in close proximity to good restaurant options. Easy walking to waterfront promenade and historical areas."

"If you love a boutique hotel, but wish it had more space, this is the place for you. The quirkily designed rooms and public areas are immaculately kept and much larger than you'd expect them to be - the lounge and breakfast room (with patio) especially are surprisingly sizeable. The breakfast itself is constantly replenished by the lovely staff, who will happily make you an espresso or cappuccino if you ask. Oh, and there's a spa - and what a spa! Often, these are dingy spaces that aren't well kept, but this one is sublime - great pool, hot sauna/steam rooms and the jets at the end of the pool and in the jacuzzi... wow. They're probably doing themselves out of money, as you won't need to pay for a massage with the pummelling they can deliver. The location is ideal for Porta Nouva station and many of the main sites you'll want to see. You really can't top the Victoria for the price point."

"Very impressed with this hotel as soon as we arrived for our 4 night stay. It was clear that it had been refurbished and was done to a very good standard. The room was large, with a separate lounge and bedroom area, including a large TV in both. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was a good size with a walk in shower. Nespresso machine and a free to use mini bar were very nice touches. Breakfast was included and had a reasonable choice to suit all tastes. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. We'd definitely stay here again and thoroughly recommend this hotel. "
