Charming Cabin
The cadin was what I expected. True to the pictures. It was very clean. I chose this place to get closer to God and that was what i got. My only suggestion to the property's owners is that the screening around the porch be fixed. It let in some yellow jackets and a couple got in the house. Would not be good if somebody staying there got stung and was allergic to them. Overall, I would go back.

Great Vacation for Peace
We had a great time staying. The one way our GPS sent us the road ended up being closed, Omar contacted me right away as soon as I messaged him and gave alt directions. It was so nice and peaceful out there! Only thing was water filter under kitchen sink needed changed. Would def come back!

Great getaway!
We had an amazing time - the only negative was that i only booked 2 nights! The cabin is super cozy & inviting, very clean & has many nice touches that make it comfortable! The beds are extremely comfortable, the host is nice, pleasant, & responsive, the property is gorgeous & so peaceful...we really enjoyed our stay!!!

Long weekend recharge
The only downside was that we couldn't stay longer! The cabin was even better than the pictures and just a little slice of heaven. The cabin has everything needed for a relaxing stay, it was clear that every inch of the space was carefully thought out to maximize space and create the perfect cozy atmosphere. Even our teenage son thought it was perfect!

2nd trip to Hinton
This was my second trip staying at this fantastic property. No issues with access or the cabin itself. It was private and peaceful as before. Even though this property is a solid 5 Star location I did have 2 issues this time. As mentioned in the property description there is a small lake with kayaks, however this time the kayak area was a wreck. I was not interested in cleaning and re-assembling the kayaks in order to use them. I contacted the host about the condition of the kayak area. Also, they have a nice firepit area with new blue chairs, unfortunately the birds seem to enjoy roosting on these chairs, and they were covered in bird droppings. I again was not interested in cleaning chairs in order to sit in them. Just as I'm required to pay for a damage waiver to stay at this property, I feel that what is offered during my stay should be ready when I arrive.

Peace and quiet
If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place to come. The cabin in very nice, but small, like it says. The bed was a little small for us, but overall the cabin is well equipped. The screened in deck is also great, we spent a lot of time out there watching the wild life, which was abundant. We made a fire 2 nights, and the stars were amazing to view without the city lights interfering. The property is awesome, with trails and a pond also.

Secluded, peaceful, and relaxing!
The cabin was wonderful. It was exactly as stated in the listing. It is small, but the screened porch makes it feel much more spacious. We spent most of our time on the screen porch when we were there. Or sitting outside at the fire pit. It would’ve been nice to have a few more towels. Four bath house and one hand towel wasn’t enough for the three of us for the entire week. Had we known, we could’ve brought extras. Also about no place to hang wet things… We have been staying in West Virginia state parks for the last 20 years and we always carry a length of clothesline rope and clothes pins with us. So we ran clothes line between two of the beams in the bedroom and then hung our damp bath towels when we were finished showering. Worked out well. The only negative that we found other than the need for more towels, was that the bedroom carpet was really dirty. All in all, a wonderful place to stay if you like solitude and quiet.

Secluded and peaceful
The cabin was well-appointed and the bed was comfortable. Enjoyed the fire pit and the screened in porch, despite seeing a large black snake on it at one point. Most of the wildlife was benign though lol. Saw a lot of deer, rabbits, and large owls. The road leading up the mountain is very twisty and would be terrifying in bad weather; thankfully I had lovely weather. Our tap water was yellowish, which was concerning. We were very grateful for the water cooler. This cabin is perfect as a serene getaway.

Perfect getaway!
We truly enjoyed everything about this cabin! The location is secluded and quiet, and also close enough to go do sightseeing things during the day. Our favorite part was sitting on the screened porch listening to the birds and watching the bunnies, deer and fireflies. We didn’t want to leave!

Lovely Place
A very nice, super private secluded place, which is just what we wanted. Disappointed that we saw no wild life. The cabin has an issue with wasps and carpenter bees. We texted the host suggesting he get an exterminator, immediately. Summers County is absolutely beautiful.

Lovely, quiet, private, remote, surrounded by wildlife. Great screened porch overlooking the mountaintop—so many birds, wild turkeys in the mornings, deer bedding down just outside the door. Amazing well-kept trails, pond, forest & field walks. This is a cabin, not a house, very intimate but quarters are tight. More than 2 people would be challenging unless you’re a very loving family. Kitchenette, no oven or toaster but enough pots/dishes to cook in. Bed (dbl) was comfy but we were not adventurous nor short enough for the loft. Lovely morning light, so so private, would definitely come again. Host was responsive and gracious. If solitude is what you seek, choose this cabin, but the trade off is a 30-minute trek down the mountain before you even start going to your destination. Pretty close to Sandstone Visitor’s Center at New River Gorge NP. We and our dog loved it!

beautiful blend of quaint and modern
This quaint cabin was a wonderful getaway for our 15th anniversary! It was the perfect blend of rustic and modern, providing a beautiful, secluded space to recharge and escape the intensity of the modern world, while still having things like Internet and television for when we wanted it. It was clean and well stocked with anything you could possibly need while away from home, and the location was peaceful and rejuvenating. The stars were just breathtaking at night! Highly recommend for those looking for a quiet getaway with the option of hiking and exploring the outdoors.

Cabin was small, quaint, extremely clean, and the attention to detail was very evident. Property owners obviously love their little slice of heaven and enjoy sharing it with others! Super remote and quiet!
Great experience! Def pack warm clothes as our visit was a little chilly in January, and I’d say a 4WD vehicle should be mandatory if snow/ice is in the forecast! A little nervous trekking up and down the mountain to get to our hikes but we took it slow but I’d be a little concerned if your vehicle wasn’t 4WD. Really liked that this cabin was super quiet, remote but still had wifi. Will return when the weather breaks for spring or summer! :)

Awesome Little Cabin
If you are looking for solitude, look no further - you found it! This place is a little gem. The rugged beauty of the Appalachian Mountains is awe inspiring by itself. The cabin has views that are stunning, the starry sky is like nothing you've ever seen, the wildlife is abundant, the place is so quite the silence is deafening and the cabin is so comfortable. You have everything you need. This is not the Ritz Carlton - it's a remote mountain cabin, so if you are looking for French Milled soap and stuff like that, don't bother - but if you want to get away from civilization and unwind, this is the place. You won't be disappointed. Omar and Julia are great host's - we had an incorrect access code and Omar called us in less than a minute and got us squared away. Outstanding little cabin in the middle of nowhere WV
This little cabin was super cozy and very comfortable and really has everything you need -except a stove(which isn’t needed). The main bed is super comfortable and the futon type couch is really comfortable as well. We had a little trouble figuring out all 4 remotes for the tvs , but that is not my thing somedays I’m technologically challenged! Loved the water cooler!! I just wish we had 1 more day to hike the property! The trees/leaves were close to peak. We stayed here and did the new river gorge bridgewalk (catwalk under the bridge), it was amazing (about 90 mins away). Highly recommend! The drive up the mountain is crazy cool and I’m glad I only met a few cars !! Stunning views. Would stay here again. Thank you so much

Great place to stay to enjoy nature. Great views and the guest cabin was perfect in size. Wish I had stayed longer. The only and I mean only negative is that the mandatory damage waiver didn't appear until you started the booking process. I understand why the host's require it!

Serene & beautiful location
Wonderful stay for several days---we wished we had booked longer! The property is as described in listing and is more beautiful in person. Many mowed paths/gravel trails to walk the property. So quiet that birds flying overhead sound loud as they flap their wings and a single bee sounds like a swarm! Inside is well-appointed & cozy with everything one would need to cook--pots, pans, coffee pot, electric kettle, silverware, etc. Plenty of towels, hot water, soaps/dish soap provided. Even Tupperware containers for leftovers! Beds very comfortable (the loft is awesome---comfy & cute!), comfortable couch, many throw pillows & extra blankets, strong Wi-Fi, a window unit AC if needed, and a lovely screened-in porch to enjoy the sounds of nature. We didn't get to enjoy the pond, but it is larger than pictured and had an inflatable slide in the middle. The drive up the mountain (Ramp Rd/Clayton-Judson) was a bit intimidating the first time around, but by the end of our trip we were pros--the drive is well worth it! We had a bit of an issue checking in at the driveway gate & front door, but we received a quick email response & the issue was resolved. Only suggestions for future guests would be a folding drying rack--it rained all weekend & we had no where to hang wet clothes, jackets, etc. Would have also liked a hose to clean off muddy shoes, but it wasn't a major issue. Also, entrance door has a loose screw in lock joint, which sometimes prevented the door from closing fully. Other than that, we had everything we needed. We rarely return to the same place--- as there are so many places to explore in the world--but we would 100% return here! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us! We hope to return!

Absolutely amazing
Loved staying in this cabin! Absolutely wonderful how quiet and peaceful it was. Nothing but the sounds of nature, and at night a sky full of the stars we seldom see where we live. The cabin had everything we needed! The beds were comfortable, and I especially loved the window bed. The weather was so nice, we basically lived on the porch, or were outside, but didn't feel cramped inside, except for just a bit if we both were in the kitchen. But that wasn't a problem! Loved having trails to walk on the property, as well as being able to use the kayaks and equipment at pond. This place exceeded my expectations, which were high after reading the reviews! My only complaint was our time was too short! I definitely hope I have the opportunity to stay here again!

Amazing little retreat!
We absolutely loved it. The cabin had all the amenities listed, was super functional and very cute. We stopped at the store about 40 minutes out- I recommend this before heading up the mountain. The property was great providing plenty to explore, abundant nature and wildlife, stars to gaze at and a little pond to kayak around. Omar was responsive even with wonky service getting up the mountain and was helpful and kind when we were stuck at the gate. In all, it was so peaceful, quiet, and rejuvenating. In all the chaos that is life & the modern world, this place is like a little slice of Heaven tucked away. We’ve traveled all around the world and never imagined we’d be adding the mountains of West Virginia into our “Repeat Rolodex,” but you better believe we will make it happen again! Maybe we’ll even bring the kids……Meh. Maybe not ;)

Beautiful, peaceful, getaway
The cabin is quaint, country rustic and accurately described. The setting is stunning! Beautiful stars and moon at night. The sky was magnificent. You can catch sunrises and sunsets if you hike out one of the knobs on the 400 acre mountaintop farm. They have a large pond with kayaks and slide to cool off in and they are located near the gorgeous New River Gorge National Park. So much to explore in the area if you love the outdoors. The owners have paths mowed throughout the farm and you are welcomed to explore there too. The owners Julia and Omar were good communicators and very kind. If you stay here you will not be disappointed but rather delighted and blessed! Thank you to Julia and Omar for sharing your beautiful property!

Very cozy remote cabin. The road to access the area of the cabin is very hilly & curvy. Even on dry pavement/gravel, a vehicle with AWD is helpful. Owners were very responsive with any questions.

We loved our weekend here. The property was beautifully located at the top of a mountain with awesome views both on the property and leading up. We loved walking the property, sitting on the screened in porch, having fires, and visiting the great parks nearby. We'll definitely be back!

Secluded and beautiful!
If you’re looking for a getaway from it all- this is it! We enjoyed the serenity and peace of the cabin. Walk right out the back door into the woods with trails, explore the open hilly fields, or enjoy the screened in porch. The rustic modern look inside the cabin was a great touch- we also appreciated the non chemical based soaps in the bathroom and kitchen. The beds and couch were very comfortable, and the access to multiple streaming services for a cozy movie night was perfect. We look forward to coming back!

WOWW! Adorable, fully loaded cabin in the middle of a beautiful large field!
There’s so many great things about this place, so I’ll list them in bullets! My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights for a snowboarding trip at Winterplace in the beginning of March 22’. Pros: - Fully fenced property with a key code gate (we felt EXTREMELY safe) - Listing description and photos were spot on - Hosts we’re extremely kind, communicative and eager to please - Jaw-dropping views and privacy - Cabin had EVERYTHING we needed: filtered water, full kitchen, stove/air fryer/microwave combo - Giant screened front porch with windows wide stairs - Adorable lofted area - Very comfortable beds - Space was well thought-out and everything was intentional (we could easily stay here for a month) - Fire pit and wood stove (+plenty of heaters) - Plenty of cooking and eating supplies - WELL worth the drive up the mountain (~25 minutes) - Good Wi-Fi and TVs - Home felt very safe and secure We will definitely be staying again. Amazing trip! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Peaceful and comfy
The property is so beautiful and peaceful, we very much enjoyed our time slowing down and taking it all in. The cabin was super comfy and had everything you need- surprisingly the internet and TV worked great for how secluded the property is! . The location was great for day trips to the surrounding parks.
