The location of this hotel was amazing, right next to the train station. However, for a family of 4 the beds were uncomfortable, and the room was too small.
Next to Himeji JR station. Super convenient for Himeji castle trip. The castle is in walking distance. A lot of excellent restaurants nearby or in station. Very good Japanese breakfast.
Like many Japanese hotels, the room was small. But we spent very little time in it. Himeji is such a great place to visit - with the famous castle, cable car and mountain-top temple. This hotel is near the station. As such its recommended that you stay here overnight.
Great little hotel within 1 min walk of Himeji station. Staff were nice, japan is introducing a lot of self checkin machines which takes away from the personable experience in my opinion, but I guess others might like not talking to staff.
Room was clean and had everything I needed, typical Japanese size room. Bathroom is typical style and modern, for some it may be small but this is a typical size for this type of hotel.
Free breakfast was nice, good variety (buffet) and they are trying to avoid food wastage which is great.
All in all, nice stay and easy walk to EVERYTHING.
Only few steps from Himeji station on quiet side.
Friendly staff and clean room.

They charged me $220 more when I arrived .They refunded 6days after contacting Expedia. Staff was helpless for listening what I asked for. Just saying t's our branch policy. No sincere apologies
I requested to borrow an extra pair of slippers to use outside the room while doing laundry, but the lady on duty on the evening of January 24, 2026, said no. Very stingy for something really small.
The mattress and the pillows are extremely firm and it was very uncomfortable to sleep on them (normally we prefer firm mattresses, but it was just impossible this time). No staff spoke any English or other languages - Japanese only. We had a major issue with a neighbor who kept knocking on our wall very loudly very late in the evening. When we called the reception, someone came to our room in order to use a translating program on their phone and entered the room when I was in bed. The translation program helped and they talked to the neighbor who stopped knocking, but we had a rather poor experience overall. Rooms are tiny but clean, breakfast is very basic. Avoid this hotel (it wasn’t cheap for this type of service either)
