"This place is adequate, but very basic. If you are there just to hike and then come back and sleep, it is ok. It was reasonably close to the train station, but there is a section you have to walk along a busy road. It would be better if you are traveling by car. Drains in the sink and shower are slow. It was very hot when we were there and it was difficult to leave windows open for fresh air because of the flies. May not be an issue if you come in cooler weather."

The apartment was easy to find, the parking was very close by and the hosts did an excellent job of explaining the parking options and check in process. "We had a charming fairytale stay in the hotel which was grand and lavish. The hotel was ideally located with stunning views of the mountains and glacier, set in beautiful gardens, we enjoyed eating in the restaurant for exceptional food and views out into the wilderness. The concierge was very helpful with suggesting hikes and seeing yodellers on the mountain. The head waiter was outstanding and an asset to the hotel. The hotel has no car access so must be accessed by the local hillside train, which added to holiday bliss staying in a beautiful town lost in time and culture."

"The location was perfect and very close to the train stations. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. The staff was friendly and accommodating, which made our stay even more pleasant. Although the price was a little high, we had a great view from our room and really enjoyed our stay overall. We also appreciated being able to store our luggage, which was extremely helpful since hotel check-in and check-out times don’t always coincide with train schedules. There were plenty of restaurants and stores nearby, all within easy walking distance, which made the location very convenient. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay."

"Lovely Stay on the lake front with private dock for swimming and lounge chairs and hammocks for relaxing. Great views from the balcony. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. There are a number of free parking spots right in front of the hotel first come first served. Tip: arrive early to get one. Bus #21 runs up and down the lake from Thun to Interlaken with a stop 100ft away. Bus fare is free to guests staying in hotels in the area. Beautiful time in Thun."

"This is just an amazing hotel in the perfect location--right at the entrance to the old city and directly adjacent to the train station. Our room was clean and well appointed, and I can't say enough about the staff, especially the desk clerk who helped us figure out the Aare swimming logistics, She even provided us with a hotel branded dry bag for floating down the river. My only comment is that the AC was not that strong, but the staff did provide us with a supplemental AC unit which cooled the room down considerably. HIGHLY recommend !"
