Hawaii Eco Village in Hilo FIRE
Welcome to the Hawaiian Wildlife Eco Village, which is part of the responsible tourism effort to take care of the Aina (Mother Nature in Hawaiian).
We offer an individual detached self contained bedroom (hexagon) with full bathroom and a kitchenette.
To start your day at the village, enjoy a breath taking sunrise from the ocean while being entertained by the view of our future forest. Be amazed at knowing that the heat from your hot shower comes from the sun energy and the rain is the provider of water for all the bungalows. Feel the aroma of the fruit trees surrounding your bungalow while resting in one of your hand made hummocks. Enjoy the presence of many native birds playing, eating and nesting in our more than a thousand already planted young trees.
If you want to be more adventurous, take a walk to admire the view of the Volcano Mauna Kea while visiting a beautiful water fall or take a pick of a cacao farm where they make chocolate. All of these just 5 miles from Hilo.
Take a 15 minutes drive to Hilo and jump in the water for a fabulous snorkeling at a black sand beach or walk around to enjoy a delicious meal at one of the many restaurants that are available.
In this busy world of ours, we want to invite you to get refuged in 20 acres of land that are dedicated to preserve and honor Mother Nature. By making this Eco Village your home for a little while, you will contribute to our sustainable efforts of forest restoration and preservation while visiting Hawaii in a sustainable and fabulous way. Aloha!

Wonderful location up the mountain with spectacular views of Hilo. Delightful hosts! The room was thoughtfully designed and built with beautiful craftsmanship. Hopefully we will be back again.
Amazing! Had a wonderfully warm welcome from Joey on their beautiful property. Our room had everything we needed. The best getaway. Wish we would’ve been able to stay longer. Absolutely recommend for your stay in Hilo.
Awesome place to stay! Check in was easy and communicated well, and the property itself is incredible. Tons of plants and tasty fruits growing. The inside of the unit was well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. One recommendation that should be an easy fix: upgraded/softer pillows.
Our stay was great from start to finish. A unique setting gave our stay in Hawai’i a great finish. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The host was very responsive and personable. The sunrise and overall view of Hilo was outstanding. We can’t say enough great things to describe our stay.
