Welcome to WHITESIDE VILLA Elevation: 4850 FEET
Location, Location, Location! Contact me now to get on waiting list! Spectacular, panoramic mountain view of three states (North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia). This luxury home is located on Wildcat Ridge (above Wildcat Country Club in Highlands, North Carolina) on top of Whiteside Mountain (one of the oldest mountains in the world). It is the highest home in the area, placed right next to forest service land for additional privacy and easy access to the Whiteside Mountain Hiking Trail. Our home has every convenience: Smart TVs, Tivo, Blu-Ray, DVD players in the living room and three bedrooms. Premium cable and high speed, wireless Internet in the home and on the decks. Showers with at least two shower heads and excellent water pressure. Two-person jacuzzi tub with panoramic views. Numerous decks with a variety of patio furniture. Weber grill and outdoor fireplace. Enclosed garage. Central heating and AC as well as ceiling fans. All modern appliances and spacious laundry room. TempurPedic and Heavenly beds. Automatic generator. Delicious privacy.

The property location is priceless. Truly priceless. We rent the home so that we can keep it in the family for many generations.
Minimum stay is seven nights. Stays are Friday to Friday (check in at 3:00pm; check out at 9:00am).

This is a wonderful house, particularly if you’re a Frank Lloyd Wright fan of mid century modern architecture. Absolutely stunning! The view is incredible and the house is comfortable in every respect. Our host was very easy to reach and interested in making sure our stay was perfect. Couldn’t have been better!
Unparalleled views! This home is always pristine clean and ready to enjoy a great time with friends and family. We have come here for multiple years and Anne is the BEST host! The house is supplied with everything you could possibly need during your stay. We highly recommend it.
Lovely well maintained home in great up to date beautiful condition with all amenities and fantastic mountain views. Situated in a private secluded area but only 15 minutes from either Highlands or Cashiers over paved well maintained roads. The architecture of the house is unique and charming.

Whiteside Villa never disappoints. For almost 30 years this has been my family's place to relax and recharge. All the up to date amenities of modern life with the same 30 mile view enjoyed by the original settlers of HIghlands. The best of both worlds and no better place to be on the Plateau.
Beautiful mountain view in super convenient secluded location ten minutes on paved roads to either Highlands or Cashiers. The house is lovely and well appointed and fully equipped with lots more than the basics.
Whiteside Villa is not only the highest home in the Highlands-Cashiers area, it also has the best views of any home in the area, including neighboring homes. It is truly "heavenly," and it exceeds the photo descriptions in every possible way. Not only is this home luxurious and stocked with everything one could possibly need, it is always immaculate. The hostess, Anne, is always available when you need her, and she takes care to provide detailed information about the home, so you always know how everything works. You've probably already read about the FLW-influenced architecture and the "epic" bathrooms, and everything lives up to the hype. Whiteside Villa also has its own gated and paved driveway and is conveniently located between Highlands and Cashiers. One of the many features is the private access to the Whiteside Mountain Hiking Trail -- it's only a few feet from the front door! If you want to experience the mountains and infinite mountain views with exclusivity and privacy, no other home can compare!!! Highly recommended!!!
Immaculate, beautiful, comfortable. And this is just the inside. Outside there are incredible views of three states, sunrise through sunset. It makes me happy. Can't recommend it highly enough. Anne is easy to work with and very prompt.
This is the 2nd time we’ve rented this property. A truly unique house - both its architecture and setting. This house is situated at one of the highest elevations for a home in the Highlands area and has an extraordinarily expansive view. This property has been very well maintained. We will return.
There is no way that words can describe the views here. You are directly adjacent to Whiteside Mountain and the surrounding views are unsurpassed. Anne is the BEST property manager imaginable. The house is always immaculate and she’s only an email away should you need anything (which we normally don’t). Everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation is here. :)
If you’re looking for incredible long-range mountain views then you definitely will want to stay at Whiteside Villa. This is the most unique house on the side of the mountain with a direct close up view of Whiteside Mountain. Anne is the most superb host! The house is always incredibly clean and well maintained. She takes great pride in doing upgrades in the house every year. I can’t say enough about this wonderful property. :).
We have rented this gorgeous home for many years, and it never disappoints. The home is magnificently furnished and immaculate. No detail for the ultimate vacation is left undone. A short distance out of the front door leads you to the Whiteside Mountain hiking trail. The home is conveniently located between Highlands and Cashiers with plenty of privacy. The views from the wrap around deck are breathtaking! We simply cannot get enough of this beautiful home. We look forward to returning again in fall.
It's my 24th year here. Each year there are thoughtful improvements in the house. Comfortable, quiet, solid. My kind of fancy. Built with a vision and maintained to the same level. Comfy beds, very cool bathrooms. Big TVs. The view outside is phenomenal. Stop trying other houses and stay here. You won't regret it. The owner is a dream - communicative, responsive and helpful.
There are really no words to summarize an experience in this "wonder home". The views, the vibes, the uniqueness are unsurpassed. I can only recommend you scroll through the photos and multiply that by infinity. You simply cannot capture the overall essence of it all, exterior and interior. And let's talk about Anne, your hostess with the mostest. She makes you feel at home before you ever arrive and all throughout your stay. She goes out of her way to make sure your experience is beyond perfection. And it was! We feel beyond blessed to have stumbled across this magical place and manage to snag a week.
This is our third time staying at Whiteside Villa but certainly not our last. In a prior review I said this is where rock stars and movie stars go to for a retreat. There is really no way to adequately describe this home. Its an architectural gem. The views are simply stunning with long range layered views that are changing constantly. Its located in a private gated enclave with direct access to Whiteside Mountain park which is some of the best hiking in the area hands down. The bathrooms are entirely another story. One with a Jacuzzi tub surrounded by glass for an experience and view few will ever experience. The other a stone grotto floor to ceiling stone shower that is absolutely invigorating as it is beautiful.
We travel extensively and have stayed at many fine homes but this is our favorite one hands down. There is an energy in this home that is indescribable but undeniable. Staying here at Whiteside Villa is beyond any expectations. It exceeds them. Anne is a first class host/owner and no attention to detail is overlooked. Its a house that feels like a home the minute you set foot in it. This is not just a retreat or vacation.....its an experience. Thanks Anne for sharing this home.
