"We were desperate to find a place to stay after the Cook Strait ferry docked later than expected. Wellington booked out! This place was run down, chewing gum behind the curtains, heater didn’t work, and the women’s shower wouldn’t heat up! Shared bathroom facilities but we knew that when we booked. Restaurant and pub attached was quiet but the chef wasn’t available. Front staff made us a toastie and was very helpful.
