An hour before arriving we received a message to say the main bathroom toilet was blocked and they weren’t going to fix it before our stay, meaning the only toilets available were inside the 2 en-suite bathrooms. "The property was great, very spacious with plenty of room for our extended family, 7 people total. Everything was well taken care of. The kitchen was very well stocked, and communication was great. Location was terrific, with lots of great shops and restaurants. One thing to be aware of is that there are several flights of stairs to get to the flat. That was a bit of a surprise, but we were able to manage it."

"The house is a very unique house with a deep history set in extensive formal gardens. The staff, particularly in reception and the Restaurant are attentive and very pleasant. The age and design of the house allows functions such as weddings and prom parties to be held without disturbing other guests. It may be a little dog-eared but that seems to add to its charm."

"Great location for train and bus station, and within close proximity to the city centre. Very clean and comfortable room, but there is no air con available in the rooms which wasn’t ideal during a rather hot weekend. I did appreciate the fan supplied which helped overnight.
