I am sorry that you found the sulfur scent in the hotel unpleasant. i can assure you, it is not from rotten eggs, but from the sulfur content of our healing water. You can feel it throughout Heviz, and especially near the lake itself, as we have the same healing water as in the city's thermal lake. The natural sulfur is paramount in the healing property of the water, so we do not intend to filter it out in any way. Thank you for your understanding and for allowing me to clear it up. Dear Guest; Thank you for your review, and for your praise toward our waiters. I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. The AC outage was first thought to be a relatively easily repairable issue, but during the maintenance it turned out that the entire system needed replacement, as it was beyond recovery. Our staff did everything to carry this task out as fast as possible, but it indeed took two weeks before the complete AC system could be installed and put into use. This job included multiple heavy-duty construction work (concrete laying, craning thousands of kgs of equipment onto the roof, wiring, etc), and despite our best effort it was completed only once your stay was over. The hotel is indeed a smoke-free establishment, as health-service provider we fall into the same category as hospitals. Smoking is only allowed at the 2 designated areas which can be found in the parking lot and on the left part of the sun-terrace. These are the only places where smoking is allowed - if guests are caught smoking on other parts of the hotel's premises, they are asked to cease the activity, and in case of smoking in the room an extra cleaning fee of 100 EUR is being charged to their invoice. I would like to apologize again for the inconvenience you experienced; I can only just hope that you may give us another chance to prove ourselves sometimes in the future. Our maintenance team and operation directors did everything to solve the AC issue as soon as possible, but unforeseen technical difficulties hampered greatly the full repair of the device throughout the hotel. As for the mosquitoes, Heviz is also part of the areas around the Lake Balaton, where the mosquito population is being thinned by ground and air devices, multiple times a year. As we are in a natural preserve area, the number of occasions when such operations can be conducted are strictly regulated. Thus, occasional rise in the insect population between these occasions is possible. We apologize for that inconvenience.
