Lamarby Lodge-Quirky bungalow on coastal walk with distant sea views.

Welcome to our quirky holiday home located in Bishopstone. We are a 6 minute stroll through the fairy woods to the beach, then a further 25 minute walk to Herne Bay Town. From the bungalow we are a 25 minute walk to Reculver Towers.
We just love the view of the fields from the front of our bungalow and the distant sea views from the back. We are just a six minute stroll through the fairy woods to the beach.
We welcome up to two well-behaved dogs and our bungalow sleeps up to 6 people (plus a baby in a cot).
In bedroom 1 we have a kingsize bed and TV with Netflix & Amazon prime
In bedroom 2 we have a double bed with the added benefit of an en-suite shower room & toilet.
In bedroom 3 we have a trundle and single bed which can be set up as a twin room or put together to create a kingsize bed.
There are two bathrooms, the main shared one and one in the en-suite bedroom (both of which have large shower enclosures).
We have a secure enclosed garden with table and chairs for al fresco dining and large garden games, including the giant chess set.
Bedding and towels are provided, including plenty of dog towels to wipe/wash down our furry friends (if you have one) :)
We have a type 2 EV charger for your convenience, please just ask us for the code (a cost charge via bank transfer after stay will be applied). Our home is ideally situated for people who love the outdoors, enjoy walks and being near the coast. We are close enough to Herne Bay Town and just a short drive away from Whitstable and Canterbury along with some of the other lovely Kent towns.

A great place to stay with children.

The bungalow was bright and roomy. Lots of games for the children to play, and lots of things for the adults. Very well equipped. Good walks, and close to Herne Bay. Overall, a lovely place to stay.

A home away from home

This is an amazing holiday home. It has everything you need for your stay from a fully stocked kitchen to lots of family games to play both inside and out. A very clean property who welcome dogs. Great hosts and personal touches.

Great property, great location

Really good property that was exactly as described. Great communication with owner leading up to our visit to explain about check in and help with any questions. Plenty of equipment (cutlery, etc) and supplies of tea/coffee. Would definitely recommend properly and would stay again if in the area.

A great weekend

We had a great time at this bungalow. On arrival the accommodation was very clean, everything we needed, lots of quirky things with lots of games for our granddaughters. The bungalow is in a good position for walking if you wish to, also in a beautiful location. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful Bungalow with lots of extra touches

Tina was a perfect host and dealt with any queries immediately. The bungalow is fantastic and we loved the decor. We really enjoyed the little extras such as the giant chess and retro games tablen and were grateful for the cupcakes and seed bombs on arrival. I highly recommended this property and would happily stay there again.

Fantastic short break

We had a three night stay at this property. Great base to explore the local area. The house was clean and very well appointed, with lots of little extra touches. The owner was very good with communication ahead of our stay, giving us all the information we needed. Would highly recommend.

Stylish property

Tina has been fantastic from start to finish, her home is very stylish and well thought out, including all the treats and suggestions on the nearby area.It's located in a lovely quiet area, very close to the beach which our labrador dogs enjoed.We absolutely loved the juke box and the games table, we felt we didnt need to go out.This property really is a perfect stay if you want to relax.Thank you again Tina we loved evey minute of our stay.Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Doggy Holiday

Chose this property as it was dog friendly. Great position for the beach, just a few minute walk. The property was lovely. Furnished to a really high standard and had everything you needed for human and dogs. Would highly recommend it.

Excellent holiday home

The house is spacious and well fitted out. The quirky decor makes a refreshing change to the basic furniture and fittings found in most holiday homes. The whole house was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped. The welcome cupcakes were delicious. It’s an easy 10 minute walk through the woodland to the beach. I would highly recommend this property to families and friends.

Family break

This property is in a great location. It was spotlessly cleaned and had everything you could possibly need. The owner had liaised with me before arrival and had toddler proofed the property so we could relax and enjoy the space. So many quirky touches that enhanced the experience. This was a family break with a toddler, her mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and each generation was comfortable and enjoyed the stay.

Perfect

We regularly stay in holiday homes throughout the UK. Approx 8-12 each year for the last 15 years. This property is one of the best we have ever stayed in. Well presented, very comfortable and it has absolutely everything you need. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful Bungalow

A Lovely light spacious bungalow, with stylish and humorous touches throughout the space. A large well equipped kitchen with everything you could ever need. All comfort was considered and the creative fun element extended into the generous size garden. Set in a tranquil area with un-spoilt beautiful beaches within walking distance. We couldn't have asked for a nicer break. We'll definitely be visiting again soon.

Gem of a property

Everything was perfect from start to finish. All the little touches added to it. The bungalow was absolutely spotless both inside & out. It was so well equipped for everything. Towels & bedding all luxurious. Lots of fun games to play for families. Great location for lovely walks. Communication with the Owner was also excellent. We can’t wait to visit again.

Remarkable stay at Herne Bay

Tina has been a wonderful host and made sure we had a spectaculair holiday at her bungalow. The communication with and instructions from her were excellent. The bungalow itself was very well organized and tidy. We really had the feeling we were welcome at the bungalow. The weather was lovely when we stayed, that helped enjoying the bungalow and the surroundings more. We loved the little touches Tina added to the bungalow. Besides that the bungalow was very well equipped and clean. Would definatelly recommend!

Wow! This was a totally very pleasant location and stay. The property was so well equipped with everything from extra blankets to full kitchen with lots extra pots and pans. All bedrooms are so well decorated with storage for your clothes, as are the bathrooms very nice. The outdoor space is equally gorgeous. What you see in the photos is exactly what you have to look forward to. We recommend this place 100%

Just Gorgeous

Firstly the hosts are excellent. So kind and generous and great communications. It was my mother’s 84th birthday and they left her a card, present, banner and cakes , just brilliant she was so delighted. Secondly the house is just fabulous. It’s so well equipped and the deco makes you feel like you are in a pent house suite. The location is so lovely, so close to the beach and great dog walks and so near so many shops and retail parks. I really can’t recommend it highly enough. It was our second time staying there and we will go back again!!

I wish to speak for both families and say what a super place we have stayed. We felt that this was a real home, very welcoming, comfortable, very well equipped, clean and Tina provided all that was needed. The decor was great and amusing, even the pink stag! The kitchen was very well equipped. The seating was comfortable both inside and out. Wonderful games both inside and out. Facilities for the dog were perfect. We all felt that we have had a holiday and would not hesitate to come again. Well done. 10/10

First stay in Kent

This was our first trip to Kent and we were really pleased with the location of the bungalow. It made it very easy to travel around, visiting different places on the coast. The house was spotless and the best equipped holiday rental we have stayed in. The communication prior to and during our stay was brilliant. Tina was extremely helpful. The kids loved the games table and outdoor games. We also have an EV car so the charger was very useful and we were charged a reasonable rate for using it. We had a lovely stay and I’m sure we will be back. Gemma and family.

We thought it was perfect

I took my 83 year old mum for her Birthday. It was the perfect bungalow. She had a beautiful en suite bedroom and I had a fabulous bedroom and use of the family bathroom. The garden was ideal for my Cockerpoo. Safe and enclosed. Everything in the bungalow was easy to use and it was beautifully presented. . The bungalow was so close to the beach and had beautiful coastal walks on the door step. So close to some great shops like The Range, Home and Bargain, TK Max , Dunelm etc. and the interesting Emporiums in Herne Bay and the village of Belting. It was our favourite property we’ve stayed in and the location was amazing.

Christmas 2023

Wow!!! Was what we all said when we walked in through the door. We were blown away by how beautiful this home is and especially all the amazing and creative Christmas decorations, even down to Christmas duvets and tea towels and the table laid out with such lovely details and mince pies to welcome us! The hosts had thought of everything! The kitchen is really well equipped and lovely to have complimentary speciality coffees and teas etc too. The garden looked like it would be great for the summer and it was secure which was good for our dog, it was lovely to have dog towels provided in the hall and wellies to borrow too! The location is great and really close walk to the beach. The communication from the hosts was great too. We really couldn’t fault anything. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it. Thank you!
