About this property

Kentchurch Court - Kentchurch Estate

  • A home like no other, Kentchurch Court offers far more than accommodation—it is a unique historic experience. The Scudamore family has owned the estate since it was granted by William the Conqueror in 1066, with the property recorded as Sancta Keyna in the Domesday Book. Nestled in the countryside on the English-Welsh border, this remarkable estate provides an unforgettable setting for family reunions, celebrations, and gatherings.

Stepping inside Kentchurch Court, guests are immersed in history. Set across four floors with enchanting tower rooms accessed via a winding staircase, the house combines period charm with modern comfort. Chandeliers, coats of arms, antique furniture and original architectural details create a grand atmosphere, while contemporary amenities ensure every convenience. Relax in the elegant drawing room beside the woodburning stove, enjoy friendly competition in the billiards room, or gather in the spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area. Ten individually designed bedrooms, many featuring four-poster beds, provide luxurious accommodation.

Outside, 25 acres of landscaped gardens and parkland invite exploration. Wander through flower and vegetable gardens, watch deer roaming the estate, enjoy coffee on the terrace, play croquet or tennis, arrange archery or laser clay shooting, cycle or walk the grounds, or spend time beside the estate's fishing lakes.
