"We LOVED this place - it was beautiful, spacious, very well furnished and supplied. Unfortunately there was an issue with the water supply/pressure that despite their truly best efforts and several hours of work, they could not correct. Without water we had to leave early to finish our planning retreat and to OUR chagrin were not able to clean dishes, etc so did not leave the place in the best of shape. Outside of the VRBO fees, we were refunded all our rental and headed to Wytheville to a hotel. Would we come back? ABSOLUTELY 100%."

"We absolutely loved our stay! This beautiful new luxury cabin is tucked away in the most peaceful, tranquil wooded setting. It felt like a little escape from everything.The cabin is incredibly well appointed. Everything felt brand new, thoughtfully designed, and exceptionally well maintained. Our communications with the host also made a big impression. It was the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and peaceful seclusion. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!"

"My husband and I have booked numerous properties and “TheNuthouse” was by far the absolute best vacation we have ever had. The rural location and views were beautiful; peaceful and relaxing. The cottage was so well equipped you need only to bring your food and personal items. We visited Grayson Highlands State Park, Lansing, a couple of unique General stores in the area and West Jefferson. Next time we hope to stay longer."

"Great place to stay for hikers who want to go to Grayson Highlands (15 min. away in Va.) or do other outdoor activities in Ashe Co. Very clean, comfortable beds, and lots of bunnies and deer in the yard. We attended the Fly Around Fest in Lansing and it was wonderful."
