"great location, really nice pub. Friendly staff, clean rooms.
Had a small confusion with a new bar staff member on arrival, however the manager sorted things out very quickly later on his return.
Very happy with my stay, can recommend to anyone."

"Great place, the yurt and kitchen cabin had all you could need and was well maintained and clean. Lovely, peaceful surroundings and kids loved the pigs, goats and chickens. Highly recommended!"

"The room was clean and the staff were very helpful. We stayed in the disabled access room which was very good. The only thing we would say is the the toilet is very low for a disabled person, even with the grab bars. "

"The Old Post House was exactly as we had envisaged. Full of character, perfectly positioned over the harbour and very comfortable. Shelley helpfully gave us all the information we needed and left us to it. Parking would have been a challenge had we not been the only ones staying, but there was room in the village. In high season it could be an issue, given the small size of the place.
A great place to stay and highly recommended."

"My parents and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this pretty cottage on the grounds of the lovely estate. The cottage is well-equipped, nicely designed, and very comfortable. It is well located for the port towns and cliff tops of the Lizard Peninsula. I recommend a visit to the stunning Minack Theatre - an outdoor theatre built into the cliffs with views across the ocean, as well as the nearby town of Helston. Thank you, Charles!"

"Lovely week stay in this cosy family and dog friendly property. Perfect location to explore the whole of Cornwall from a quiet restful base.
Especially loved the window seat for a lovely evening read/morning coffee with a gorgeous view.
Very minor areas for improvement was that the doors all slam shut very easily (being fire doors)."

"It's well kept property in the heart of Helston. Comfy beds and furnishings. Large bright windows and was stocked very nicely with coffee, tea, cookies and Prosecco.
The only drawback are the pigeons that live in the center court, they can be noisy at times."

"We really liked the cottage and the site, nice and quiet and so close to great places to visit. A shame there's no clothes washer/ drier as it's much needed after days out on the beach!"

"We enjoyed a 3 night stay at The Black Swan. Andy was especially helpful. Enjoyed a delicious Sunday Roast there. In a lovely location with a shop just across the road which served delicious coffee and pastries. We had breakfast in Sula cafe just a couple of minutes walk away and it was so good. It was a perfect location for us and plenty of parking spaces."
Cottage set in 2 acres, next to coast path, short walk to beach, pub & cafe! 😎
10/10 Excellent
"Das Haus ist super niedlich und gemütlich. Man hat alles was braucht. Die Gastgeber sind sehr lieb, aufmerksam und unaufdringlich und geben gute Tipps, speziell für den Ort selbst. Ich persönlich hatte mir die Terrasse etwas sonniger vorgestellt und mit etwas mehr Weitblick. Liegt jedoch eher in einer Art Souterrain."
"Lovely staff. Good food. Beautiful little village setting. We ate both nights and the food was good. Breakfast a little disappointing- granola jar was empty. The granola option was a very small serving."
"Perfect place to stay if walking the coast path we stayed at guest house for a weekend away , porhallow is a perfect place to explore around the Lizard peninsula . We visited many places .
The guest house is also on perfect place for the beach as not far to walk , beach though not sandy ,very pebble. Also very close to the 5 pilchards pub which serve good food and beer the staff in the pub are so helpful aswell.
The view from are bedroom was amazing right across the beach and over the sea to St Mawes"
"Great experience overall. The property is clean, modern, and located in a safe, accessible area. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and the room was quiet and comfortable for a good night's rest. Excellent value for the price—would definitely book again!"
"Lovely clean place, friendly staff and fantastic rooms. Our room was quite warm but was supplied with a fan. Situated ideally on Porthleven harbour. A bit disappointed having to wait for an hour for food but the staff did apologise and gave us our drinks FOC as a way of an apology. Unfortunately, I’d passed being hungry so didn’t finish my meal. That said it would not stop me coming back as overall we had a fantastic stay."

Fisherman’s cottage 100 yards from the sea with log burner and own parking

"A stunning 2 bed house 2 minutes from the beach. The property included a little garden and a parking space across the road. The decorative condition was immaculate and it had all the conscience items you need. Thoughtfully, the owner even coffee capsules, basic items for cooking ( salt pepper, olive oil etc) as a much welcome bottle of Merlot to celebrate our arrival. And Lenny ( our doggie) was left a handful of really lovely biscuits - or so he tells us.The beds were super comfortable and everything was clean. It's amazing how clean the place was considering it's dog friendly. Lots of work, I'm sure but we appreciated it.Porthallow is a lovely little village at the end of a typical twisty, hilly, narrow Cornwall road. A pub, a bistro cafe and great people. Idyllic! Talk to the fishermen repairing their lobster cages at the end of the beach, have the crab salad at The Fat Apple, definitely try the sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream at rte Five Pilchards."
