"We called in advance to request early check in. We were told that it was no probelm as many rooms in the same category were available. We then travelled 30 minutes away from our comfortable accomodations only to be told at the desk by a very unpleasant staff member that the hotel policy prohibited early check in unless we paid 20 Euros more. We explained that we had received authorization on the phone first, and that I was feeling ill, but she didn't care. After waiting for 15 minutes, we gave in and paid the extra charge. Then they sent us to a far away room in a bad location which also had different beds than what we reserved and paid for. We then had to go downstairs and wait again to move to the right room. So now an hour had passed before we were checked in to the right room at which time it was not early check in. No extra charge should have been due but they kept the money. Also, the staff at breakfast looked miserable at their jobs, closed the fresh coffee station early, and the scrambled eggs tasted so bizarre and terrible that I don't know what they were made of. Tried them 2 days in a row to make sure it wasn't our mood. It is a shame that the customer service here is completely lacking. You can sense the stiff corporate mentality and it does not make a guest feel welcome. With so many wonderful choices in Helsinki, do not waste your time or money here. We are frequent visitors to the city but will "never again" stay at any Radisson...."

"Everything about this hotel was perfect from the moment I arrived. The staff at reception were very welcoming when i checked in and provided clear information about hotel services and dining options. My room on the 6th floor was spotless, well maintained and very comfortable. It was cleaned every day to a very high standard. The bed was also very comfortable and I had some great nights sleeps. Noise from outside was minimal and I had no disturbances at all. Food in the evening at the restaurant was high quality and my favourite meals of the trip. Breakfast was similarly to a high standard and very enjoyable and plentiful. One of my best stays in a hotel over the last year and will look forward to coming back."

"A mixed week long business stay at this airport hotel. The good - great location / proximity to main airport building; lovely breakfast; friendly staff; clean and modern vibe. The bad - housekeeping was dreadful (cleaning missed 2 days in a row despite me following the instructions); dodgy air conditioning in room not fixed; petty check-in tried to charge me to access my room very slightly early; no telephone in the room to contact housekeeping or reception (involved a lengthy walk to resolve each issue). Needs to try a bit harder to lift standards."

"Clean and tidy room with good air conditioning.There are 2 flight of stairs to climb if staying in room located at level 9 as the lift only serves till level 8.There are supermarkets within 500m and the walking distance from train station to hotel is between 400m to 500m where there are 2 flight of stairs to climb if you walk from train platform 1 to 3."
