The location is great, only 6 minutes walk on Frederikinkatu from Kamppi metro station. Right next door is Lidl grocery store. Room is new, comfortable bed, great shower. Very nice quick communication through WhatsApp with the host

Great stay!

The place is amazing. Very stylish. Very clean. Heated floor in the bathroom so no cold floor tiles in the morning. Very comfy bed. Lovely amenities with the small kitchenette which was perfect for our needs. Also great communication before and during the stay, made the whole process very easy.

The room was slightly smaller than expected, but very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was well-maintained. Construction workers started early in the morning; otherwise, it was quiet. The view from our room was poor, but it didn't affect our stay.

Stayed here before when they just opened and love the location and the kitchenette in the rooms. A fire alarm went off and we were out on the street for an hour in the cold, the alarm did not trigger lights so did anyone hard of hearing beware. This is a younger persons hotel or those more comfortable with tech as many emails and codes needed for room, lifts etc. Overall though I would recommend this for central clean base to stay in Helsinki.

Great place for a family

We were a family with two kids (1 and 5 yrs) staying for two nights. We especially appreciated the separate sleeping area as this meant we could put the kids to sleep and watch a movie together. Excellent response time - we asked for a baby chair and had it in our room within 5 minutes of writing the first chat message. Very convenient with the LIDL next doors and a pleasant suprise that there was coffee in the room. Personally I do not mind the ”fully digital communication”, I appreciate the flexibility that comes with it, I also get the feeling that whoever is behind the keyboard in the customer support is highly trained in hospitality (AI or not 😉). Would absolutely both recommend this place and come again.

We got a deluxe apartment for 3 pax - the room is well decorated, clean and very lovely! Bed for 3rd guest was made prior to arrival upon request. Cooking facilities are contained in the apartment although we couldn’t find utensils and the water boiler is slightly difficult to use. Laundry area is communal (3 washer and 3 dryer) with plenty of washing supplies. Toiletries and towels are provided for. Bed / duvet is comfy, there are both hard & soft pillows and we can request for more. Sadly we didn’t get the tote bag this time around. Breakfast - we can choose 3 cafes to go to and went with green hippo! The set was amazing!

Kamppi is a lively area. Near the hotel, there are lots of shops and restaurants. There is also a supermarket next door, which is very convenient. The room is clean and modern. The photos on the web may be slightly confusing, as some are taken from other rooms. Still, the rooms should be big enough for one or two people. I love the sauna room on the top floor, too, which is very clean. However, if you book via Expedia and arrive in Helsinki extremely early (I arrived before 6am), there may be a chance that you will not get the door code right away. The staff told me that Expedia only paid them at 7am, and they could only provide me with the door code for luggage drop off after the payment. I contacted the staff for that, and the communication was smooth.

The communication team was on point. Any issue we had it was promptly resolved. We appreciate the way Bob people were available anytime of day and night! I booked it for my 81 year old mom and it was a bit tricky for her to actually find the entrance, she says. Also, this place has contact less check in. One gets in and out with a code. So that was a bit tricky for my elderly mom. We just didnt know that when we booked. However, it was easy once she figured out. For families, I believe this is a great deal given that it has a little kitchenette. Location was perfect! Right in the center and walk to anywhere. Thanks Bob !

Nice stay

Brand new hotel so prices were good - made it worth not having a concierge. Hopefully prices stay low. Location is great- next door to a Lidl. Basic rooms are very small- I think “homey” rooms are when you get a sofa and more space despite what photos show. Awesome location. Everything you need nearby. Overall nice stay. Main downside was that every morning at 7:15-7:30am there are loud banging loading/unloading something noises from outside that can be heard from both courtyard and street rooms. Lasts about 20 minutes, but disrupted my sleep.

Super clean, warm and functional apart hotel, very walkable location to everywhere, main trams goes from another side of the block. The code-system was a plus! In the kitchen you have everything what you can need for proper cooking, and all in very good shape. Only minuses was the TV, it was like from some past decade, and some very noisy construction trucks under the windows before 7.00. Ladies morning sauna was so late that I was already frustrated to wait it- so didn’t try. Otherwise, it’s everything what you can expect from very new place!

Many good things to say about this place. But a few things were disappointing. The rooftop terrace and the sauna that you see pictures of is only open for a limited time. The sauna 1,5 hours a day for each gender (and closed on a Sunday). And the rooftop terrace is being monitized for private events and then you will be asked to leave, even though you are a guest at the hotel. The place is all digital. There is no persons to talk to only a nameless WhatsApp chat. We had problem with the dishwasher not working and the person at the other end didn’t seem to understand (or care?). So it is very impersonal. Last thing you should know is that the room is only cleaned once a week, and there is no remedies for you to clean it yourself. So in short, cool look and at an all right location but oversold (rooftop terrace and sauna) and the only staff you’re likely to interact with is someone on WhatsApp who don’t even give their name.

Awesome hotel situated at the heart of Helsinki in a quiet area and easily accessible to trams or just a few minutes walk to the shopping center. 8 min walk to the bus station that connects to Porvoo. Lots of cafe, small shops nearby, Lidl is right next door! We loved the kitchen and enjoyed our own breakfast in room. The staffs (on Whatsapp) are friendly, responded to our questions very quickly. We would definitely stay again should we visit Helsinki the second time :))

Great value for the money but some traffic noise

Very good value for the money in all respects except if you are a light sleeper like myself, traffic noise from might keep you awake. It’s not a busy street at night but still. Other than that, easy, affordable, stylish and cosy.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bob W Kamppi, the prosperity and the rooms are beautifully designed and the locations is excellent - lots of nice cafes, restaurants, shops etc. at a walking distance. Both the app and communicating with the team via WhatsApp worked great as well. The only „minus points“ for us were regarding the small-ish size of the co-working space/lounge and the throw on the bed having some stains. Would definitely recommend this stay for anyone visiting Helsinki!
