Little House - Trails & Town 5 minute walk!

Summary:
Whether you're coming to Helena for the trails (0.3 mi.), the history (0.4 mi.), the Capitol (1 mi.), etc, this is the perfect location! In just a five min walk you will find the historic downtown walking mall which includes multiple microbreweries, a popular wine bar, and numerous restaurants. If you prefer to get out into the forest, head five mins in the other direction and you will find numerous trailheads perfect for a morning hike or mountain bike ride!

The Space:
The Little House is a stand alone studio style home in the side yard of our property. We spent months gutting and renovating it to transform it into a comfortable and welcoming space for guests. There is a full kitchen, a bathroom and stall shower, and brand new queen sized bed (Bear brand mattress). There is a smart TV connected to the wifi that you can use to stream your favorite shows. Coffee, tea, and basic cooking essentials are provided. Flip through the Welcome Binder for pertinent info regarding your stay as well as our guidebook of great places around town (you can also access the guidebook via Airbnb).
Enjoy the spacious backyard with picnic table and hammock. The Little House is the perfect spot to rest during your time in Helena!

Guest Access:
You will have access to the Little House, the entire yard, and a parking space (see check in guide). There is also lots of on street parking surrounding the house.

The Neighborhood:
The Little House is located in South-Central Helena, a neighborhood some call "SoBro" (South of Broadway), very close to trailheads along Mt. Ascension as well as close to the downtown center. The neighborhood is full of Montana History and you will see many plaques in people's yards marking historical sites. The Little House itself used to be a stone mason's workshop with the original main house being built in 1886. Montana didn't even become a state until 1889!

Getting Around:
If you are here to mountain bike, the FREE Trial Rider shuttle picks up at the Women's Mural (0.4 mi from house) from May-September. Get online at bikehelena.com for all the info you need regarding maps, conditions, and numerous rides both on the mountain and around town!

Other Things to Note:
The outdoor areas of the Little House are shared with a long term tenant in the main house and 2 dogs. They are well behaved but may bark upon first meeting a new person. Thanks!

Interaction with Guests:
The Little House shares a yard with a long term tenant occupying the main house next door. You may run into the tenant during your stay (in the yard, etc), but if you have any questions or concerns please contact us as the tenant probably won't be able to assist you!

Super clean rental that was very relaxing to stay at. Tile shower was nice. Bed was more comfy than the one i have at home. A couple blocks away from breakfast & coffee at Greatful Bread. Communication from the host was easy & straight-forward.

Quiet retreat
Enjoyable and comfortable stay, neighborhood quiet and made for interesting walks. Stayed plenty warm for our mild Christmas week stay, but sooner than later entry door jam will have to be worked on/replaced for better weatherproofing during Helena's colder snaps!

Great stay!
Close to downtown, adorable little place! If you're taller, the shower is mighty short, but aside from this, it was clean, great price, wonderful communication.

Quaint little nook that feels like home
Tucked off the main road, this little place was wonderful to stay in. The space, though small, fulfilled all the needs for my wife and I. The space is nicely furnished, and relaxing. The shared backyard gave us the opportunity to be greeted by loving and friendly dogs, which in my opinion, is more of a pro than a con. The check-in email, definitely listed the “need-to-knows” and prepared us for our stay!

Super cure. Very quiet
We really enjoyed the property. There was a little confusion when we first arrived, because there was not a picture of the tiny house on the website from the exterior. Absolutely everything else about this day was great. The tenant's dog, Kenai, was a great neighbor!

Cute and quiet!
This property was incredibly quiet for being in a neighborhood downtown. We are not used to city noises at all and have a hard time sleeping in town. This place was so quiet! And so cozy. It was clean, decorated to the nines, and in a great location! Additionally, I left something in the VRBO after we checked out. I reached out to the owner and she was so quick to respond and incredibly helpful. She even agree to mail the lost item back to me. I so appreciate her hospitality and kindness. I would absolutely stay here again. Great spot for 2!

A Pleasant Stay
We were very pleased with the property and it's history made it quite interesting, adding to it's quaintness. Accessing the property was simple and straightforward. All was in order and included everything we needed. The property was very neat, clean and fresh, making it a pleasure to arrive to after a long drive. We enjoyed our time there, including a nice visit with the neighbor and the friendly dogs.
