Schönes Haus

Reminiscent of a pension in Germany, Schönes Haus is clean, comfortable, and well-appointed for overnight needs. It’s tucked away in a quiet, wooded neighborhood with convenient parking, and just minutes from downtown Helen. Host James is very helpful, responsive, and accommodating. Would recommend for those who appreciate German hospitality.

We loved the area and the convenience to town. Would love for more furniture to be in the common area and on porch. We only had four adults on this trip and it was tight with only one couch in common area and 2 chairs and a one person swing on porch. Great communication with owner. Advised him that the iron was missing from unit. Unit met our needs and beds were comfortable. Would come back again.

Great stay for a family or group

Great end unit of a condo complex close to town. Each bedroom has a king bed and an ensuite bathroom. Place was very, very clean, and set up well as a short term rental with tasteful and simple furnishings and decor. Will definitely have this as my "go to" for Helen for when we return again!

Fall getaway in Helen

We loved our Helen girls trip. We had a little problem getting hot water in our showers. Loved the porch, but only enough comfortable seating for 1 person.

Short get away

My daughter and I, with grandkids for a short get away. We went tubbing and to the water park which you can walk to. Then exploring down town Helen and eating at some nice restsurants

Wonderful, quiet and comfortable stay

Lynn's place is absolutely wonderful. You feel at home immediately, as Lynn has taken such great care to insure a special stay. There simply is nothing left undone or forgotten. We definitely recommend.

Beautiful Stay

Location was perfect. Unit was very clean. The only reason for the four stars was the plumbing was a little rattling in the showers. Pressure was good overall, would definitely go back!

The hot water in showers was hard to get regulated especially in upstairs smaller bedroom and tv outlet in master didn’t work.

Nice 3-bed 3-bath

The rental was clean and neat inside. The location was convenient to town. The area was quiet. It was appealing to have 3 bedrooms each with its own bathroom - good rental for a friend group. The kitchen had everything needed.

Spacious

The property was very spacious and clean. You do have to go up several steps to the entrance and can be a challenge with luggage. We had an issue with hot water being available in all rest rooms. Also, the outlets didn’t work in one bedroom. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful

We had a great stay. It was a wonderful location, not too far to drive to downtown Helen, but far enough away from the crowds. We did have littles with us, so the steps up to the condo, and the stairs inside took an adjustment. The whole process was wonderful though!

Place was perfect for 3 couple with 3 king beds and each with a bathroom. We piled in one car for the mile trip to good parking. Lynn was very good with communication and helpful with suggestions

Beautiful, Big, Comortable, and 3 Bathrooms

The property was nice and clean. Having a bathroom in each room is a plus! A little landscaping is needed. Lynn was so nice. She greeted my family and made sure we had everything needed. The location to Helen, GA was excellent. We will defintely stay again!!

Birthday Fun

We asked our pal, who was turning 55, what he wanted to do for his birthday. He said, “Go to Helen, drink beer, and watch tubers on the river,” We did that and stayed just a mile from the action. We loved that every bedroom had its own bathroom (listing needs to reflect that), and we had a great stay! Only complaint would be parking and that is not the owner’s fault. The parallel parkers made it a bit treacherous to get in and out. I’ll bet the dumpster pickup doesn’t like their placement either. But all in all, it was a nice stay. Maybe some outdoor furniture on the covered porch could be added to enjoy that beautiful space a bit more. Easy enhancement. Thanks for the clean and safe space for the night!

Nice place

Overall, a very nice place. Be aware that for unit 111A you have to walk up 2 flights of outside stairs. Was not a problem for me but a manageable problem for my friends; we're all in our 70's. I gave an Overall Good rather than Excellent due to a problem with the inside stairwell lighting, which stumped me at first. It turns out that when the downstairs is switched off, the upstairs switch will NOT turn the stairwell light on. Fortunately I had brought flashlights (there are none in the unit) and was able to guide myself down. Simple fix: we learned not to turn off the downstairs switch if anyone was still upstairs. There was the same problem with the kitchen light, but less concerning.

This is a great condo for a family getaway. It has tons of space to spread out and we loved having a bathroom attached to all three bedrooms. The condo was clean and well-equipped and both check-in and out were smooth and easy. The location was perfect for us too, quiet and off the main strip but easy driving distance to everything we wanted to do.

Property was basically clean inside. Kitchen missing several essentials like enough serving places for six guests, dish cloths, cooking utensils. In bathrooms, missing bath mats, poor quality hand towels. Kuerig needs descaling. Need to restock tea and coffee options. Porch needs cleaning and additional seating. Light bulbs burned out in stairwell. The water throughout the property turned brown on our departure day.
