Deer Creek at Sunset Peak - Free Spring Night

This cabin is perfect for a relaxing retreat or perhaps to celebrate a special occasion. Located on Yonah Mountain, it is near the amazing Yonah Mountain hiking trail that leads to the top of the mountain for breath taking vista views. North Georgia is known as waterfall country and there are many magnificent falls to explore nearby. It is a short drive to beautiful Helen with its unique Alpine magic, and a scenic drive to Dahlonega, Brasstown Bald, Amicalola Falls State park, and many other easy day trip locations. If wine tasting is for you, many guests enjoy the array of local winery options.

From the moment you walk in this artfully decorated cabin, you immediately feel a sense of home comfort - an oasis surrounded by nature to revitalize. The top floor has a full bath and two bedrooms (one king and one queen) where you will wake up to a magnificent mountain panorama. Open the sliding glass doors to the screened in porch, take a seat in one of the rocking chairs - and read, contemplate life, or bird watch to your hearts content - be sure to remember your binoculars!

On the main floor there is a gas fireplace, living room with hardwood floors, a half bath, and full kitchen that leads out to an open deck where you can relax in the comfortable rocking chairs. Cookout on the gas grill, then enjoy your meal either in the kitchen dining area or at the picnic table out front by the fire pit. Shades have been installed in the living room, kitchen and bedroom for extra privacy.

Downstairs is the game room with a pool table, stereo and flat screen television. The trundle is two twin beds for your extra guests. There is a full bath as well as the washer and dryer on this floor, too. Out the sliding glass doors is the patio with a seating area and hot tub. In the yard, you will find the outdoor fire pit and furniture for gatherings.

• Minimum Age Requirement: Deer Creek at Sunset Peak is a Luxury Property and is available to families or to guests 25 years and older.
• Parking: Space is available for 2 vehicles.
• Access: Guests will receive a gate code for the community. The road is dirt and gravel to the steep paved driveway.

Wonderful Views

Very comfortable beds, nice swings and rockers on the porches to view the sunrise and sunset everyday. The perfect location to take day trips all over Northern Georgia. Grocery store right down the road. Just make sure to bring your own shampoo, body wash. They aren’t provided.

Wonderful experience

I recently stayed a weekend at this charming cabin with a group of friends and it was nothing shirt of amazing. We were blown away by the setting, the view and nature. It was the perfect escape from the norms of every day life.

Bigfoot Museum

My husband and I took my mother on vacation to see the Bigfoot Museum. This cabin was central to everywhere we wanted to visit in addition to the Museum. We have already recommended it to friends 🙂

What a great location so close to FUN!

This cabin is perfect for a relaxing mountain getaway! We brought our boys 10 and 17 and they loved playing pool and going in the hot tub. The views are so beautiful. Helen is soooo close only about 10 mins away if there's no traffic. traffic.

Small hiccup but great overall

Everything went well. However, there was a tree that fell, blocked our way and knocked out the power. We had no power or water for 4 hours. The view was amazing. It was very clean and spacious. Our cabin was just minutes from downtown Helen. We enjoyed our stay.

Amazing location

The location was fantastic. close to both Helen and Cleveland. Great hiking rout around the corner. Only suggestion or things that I think can improve, was firstly the water pressure for the upstairs bathroom is terrible. Awful to take a shower. Downstairs is great. The sponge for cleaning that comes with the house is so thin that its pretty useless by day 2. Might work for short stays but for longer stays something else is required. Rest was great.

Very secluded and cozy.

Absolutely loved the seclusion and private area. View was extraordinary of the mountains. Cabin was a little out-dated as far as furniture and bedding. Ice maker didn't work. Amenities were awesome for the price. We had a pool table and a hot tub. Only complaint, lower floor has zero insulation and is super cold in the winter season; it would have been nice to have a space heater. Super peaceful and excellent space to get away. I would most certainly book again!

It was ok

The location was beautiful but had some problems. The fireplace is listed when booking only to find out it can’t be used until Oct. I ended up needing to speak with the after hours person and he was very rude. The oven is out dated and extremely hard to use. The hot tub didn’t get very hot. You get the idea. The cabin is nice and we were comfortable.

It was great to have the firepit, whirlpool and pool table. I was a little disappointed with the twin bed situation and the comfort of the bed itself. We were also disappointed with the paved driveway. My son had an F150 and the paved driveway was very narrow and very curvy which made it a bit difficult to navigate.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The overall experience wasn't bad. However, we did not have internet for our personal devices during our stay. We called the rental company they said they'd reach out to the service provider, however we never got any feedback or updates. So that as unfortunate. In addition, one of the sinks in the house had a slow drain. We also noticed some roaches. I could understand because we're in the woods, however my wife and daughter didn't share the same sentiment. Otherwise, we enjoyed our experience.

Little Slice of Heaven

My only complaint is that the property that is next door that is managed by the same company was empty a few nights, but the outside lights were kept on. Made sitting out on the porch at night hard. (The two rentals are really close together. I wish that was disclosed. I would have adjusted my expectations.) I will still rent this same place again.

A beautiful mountain getaway

We were short some linens especially for the kitchen since we used the kitchen for most of our meals. Mgmnt responded quickly to our request and provided additional. The request for assistance with WiFi connection was never resolved during our stay. Due to wildlife in this location guests are provided a phone number if garbage pickup is needed. Our call was not followed-up on.Customer service before our stay was excellent. I would recommend this property to others. I would recommend more persistence that we did to rectify needs during a stay.We hiked a number of area trails as well as taking in breweries and wineries. This is a lovely property in the mountains fo a vacation.

Beautiful With a Slight Letdown

Overall, it was a nice cabin and we had a wonderdul time. Would recommend for a party of 4 or less, not 6. A few minor issues came up but didn't hinder the overall fun. One disappointment was the size. The photos made the cabin seem larger than it was. It was tight with just 5 people in the living space. The kitchen was not fully prepared for cooking for 5 people. No cutting knives, cooking pans, etc. It had the bare basics so bring what you need if you plan on cooking alot. The other slight inconvenience was there was no heat downstairs where the twin beds are. There was a small space heater to heat the whole bottom level. It got up to 54 down there so there was no way one of my friends could sleep down there. She ended up on the sofa which was fine with her so we were okay. Just wanted others to know. The property managers are fantastic and called to check in right when we were having water pressure issues. The problem was fixed and handled in no time! The hot tub was so nice in the cold weather and the view fanominal. So overall, a great cabin to cozy up in and enjoy the mountains. It just let us down in small ways that didn't make the trip negative in any way.
