The house is a flexible combination of three suites, each with it's own stunning view and separate entrance. Carson's Run is a very unique home that can accommodate up to twelve in for a wedding party, family reunion or group vacation.

The Phoenix Suite sleeps up to six guests. The Gathering Room features a sitting area in front of a fieldstone fireplace, perfect for curling up with a great book. On game day, or movie night, the TV area with large wall-mount screen, is the place to be. One of the two seating areas doubles as a queen size pull-out. This unit has a fully outfitted kitchen with adjoining dining room. A large Master Suite with king size brass bed also provides a cozy sitting area for a bit of peace and quiet. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and can be accessed from the master bedroom if needed. Out on the screen porch, you'll find a daybed, rocker and dining set; a nice place to get together at the end of the day. You can serve dinner right from the grill as the sun sets.

The Fireside Suite conveniently adjoins the Phoenix on the same level. This small romantic suite with private bath and separate entrance features a queen size iron bed right in front of a gas fireplace. There is a screened porch for morning coffee that you can prepare in your own very neat mini-kitchen.

On the lower level, the Mystic Suite adds a queen bed as well as a queen pull-out sleep sofa in the sitting area. This suite has a country modern feel with an eclectic combination of antiques and collected pieces. A fully equipped kitchen comes outfitted right down to the salt, pepper, sugar and Splenda. This unit also has it's own entrance and a wrap around porch.

The house has everything you need to hideaway for a week or maybe longer.... Don't forget the groceries!

We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect — close to great hiking trails, wineries, and plenty of local attractions, yet set in a small, quiet neighborhood that made it easy to relax. The layout of the home, with three distinct suites, was ideal for our group and offered plenty of privacy for couples traveling together. Parking on the home level is a bit limited, especially for larger vehicles, but there’s convenient parking on the street level with just a short walk down to the house. Overall, a nice place to stay and we’d happily return!

Property was spacious, clean and in good working order. Location was great - on the side of the mountain with a nice view. “Mountain roads” to get there were smooth and paved. GPS worked all the way to the cabin - which was not true for all our north Georgia adventures!

Easy Access, Comfortable Stay!

Great location for accessing downtown Dahlonega and all the surrounding wineries. Great home for multiple couples. Beautiful views. Well stocked for cooking also. It was a great stay and the owner was easy and excellent to communicate with. Thanks again Van!

Beautiful Property and Amenities

The property exceeded expectations! With teenagers, it was nice for everyone to have their own space when they wanted it, but also plenty of space for us to hang out together. The property is clean, well maintained, and the kitchen has everything you need and then some! Location is close to downtown Dahlonega for a quick trip into town. Great stay!

Beautiful Setting

We loved the house(s) and the set up. Each family could have their own space and come together in the main living area. The views are beautiful! I was grateful to find a walk-in shower as well as a chair height toilet with railing for our mom. We had a wonderful time and would love to stay again!

Great stay in Dahlonega

House was very nice. Actually had three different living areas in one house with their own bathroom and two and one-half kitchens. Each area had a coffee maker and owner supplied both filters AND coffee-nice touch. Beautiful view of leaves turning colors and of the sunrise. Would absolutely stay there again.

Great Getaway

We had a great time at the cabin. We appreciated the lights being on outside when we arrived. It was pouring rain and it made it very helpful with the driveway. We had 3 couples so the suites made it nice for everyone to have their own space.

8 Adults and Plenty of Room

We are a big, larger-than-life family who were beautifully accommodated with plenty of room to cook, laugh, and play games plus retreat for some downtime with all the availability in this house with its comfortable suites. We highly recommend this space. It was far enough out to enjoy the beauty of the woods but close enough if you forgot something there was a store within 10 minutes and wineries were very convenient to get to.

Last minute getaway

We loved this house! The views were spectacular! The location was great. A quick drive into Dahlonega or Cleveland and not far from Helen. This was the fullest stocked rental I have ever stayed in. We had a couple rainy days and were able to stay in and cook. Usually a challenge when not at home but we had everything we needed. Can't wait to come back.

Fantastic “cabin”

Much more than a cabin. 3 separate yet joined living quarters. Wonderful gathering spaces for meals together and hanging out. We loved this place. Fireside suite for the grandparents and 2 other spaces for the 2 kids and their families. Lots of space and an incredible view. Our host, Van , was super helpful. We’ll be back!! A wedding weekend we will always remember.

Quiet Getaway

We had a wonderful weekend at Carson's Run. What a beautiful home tucked into the mountain side. The view when we woke up Saturday morning and looked out the kitchen window was breathtaking. The view at night was equally breathtaking. We had everything we needed to have a mini-tailgate party before watching the Georgia game. The kitchen is fully stocked. I love walking around looking at all the book titles. I would choose to stay again if given the opportunity.

Wonderful View and Pet Friendly

We loved the privacy of having a kitchenette in our suite and able to make coffee there. We had our two ShiTzu very small dogs with us and were so very glad we did not have to board them. We were there for a family wedding and had lots of things to prepare for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. The space was wonderful and the awesome kitchen was the best equipped one I ever saw. Then having access to a second big refrigerator in the big downstairs suite was very helpful. We utilized all the suites with our family. We also got use to the steep driveway. We ended our stay wishing we had some days just to relax there and enjoy the fantastic views.

Local stay during local home repairs!

Wow! We could not have been happier! We are local and experienced a flood resulting in being out of our house for 3 weeks during repairs. Van’s hospitality and Carson Runs wildly prepared cabinets made it a pleasure! The wildlife and screened porch were a joy and a treat every morning! We saw a pair of bears ambling by, a mother fox and 3 kits, an owl, multitudes of deer, and. Tiny baby box turtle. The 3 entrances and 3 kitchenettes worked wonders to give 5 adults space and togetherness! Made a crazy few weeks much easier! Thanks so much Van!

Exceeded Expectations

We needed a place to call “home” while looking for property in the mountains. Carson’s Run far exceeded our expectations. Moments after booking we received a message from Van with all the information we needed. After an 8 hour ride there the remote lock worked and we settled in. The house quickly became a home with all its unique spaces and awesome Mountain View. Our 4-year old husky, Chloe, felt equally welcome and when we had a question Van was ready with an answer. We’re still house hunting and we’re hoping Carson’s Run will be available for our next visit!

Although our stay was short, the house was perfect for our group! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, so everyone had their own space! The house was super clean, organized, and well-stocked with everything you could need! Thanks for a very enjoyable stay!
