"Amazing stay in Olien cottage. Neels and Anne-Lize are wonderful and generous hosts. Thanks for the braai and watching the rugby match with friends. "
"Everything was 5*. Friendly welcoming staff, beautiful suite with patio. The garden and lanscaping was unique. Wonderful breakfast area. Highly recommend this guest house."
"Our luxury room ( with mountain view) was absolutely charming, spacious and super clean. The room was newly renovated, tastefully furnished and thoughtfully outfitted with everything that could be required. The mountain view from the expansive windows and patio door was stunning and the outdoor seating area on the balcony looking at the same view was a definite plus. The only downsides were a slightly firm mattress and a bit of road noise. Otherwise it was a nearly perfect stay."
"As usual hotel.com didn’t communicate the room(2 bedroom cottage) that we booked to the hotel so they first tried to put us in a 1 bedroom cottage. Luckily our cottage was available and totally worth it, with a nice view of a pond and gardens, a comfortable living room and even a well equipped kitchen "

Nestled in the Grootvadersbosch Valley, this historic town offers charming Cape Dutch architecture and access to family-owned wine farms. Hike the nearby Langeberg Mountains or time your visit for the annual Heidelberg Vlakteloop race that locals enthusiastically support.
"Sorry we were only spending one night in this wonderful place. From the warm welcome by the owner on arrival, restaurant recommendation for the evening and freshly squeezed orange juice from their own orchard as part of the delicious breakfast, and did I mention really comfy beds, it was a real find. I would highly recommend."
"This was our first safari experienced in Africa and loved every minute. We loved the whole ethos of Sanbona .... they are creating a wildlife reserve that is a true representation of the semi-arid Little Karoo. There may not be as many animals here as on other large-scale reserves further east but we were privileged to see many species, including witnessing lions chasing an Eiland through the gorge. Our guide, Ryan, was wonderful ... SO knowledgeable, calm, funny and totally passionate about the animals and the whole ecology of the reserve; their ethos surrounding sustainability is outstanding. The scenery is both vast & beautiful.
Rooms were extremely comfortable, service from all staff excellent; we felt valued as guests, particularly regarding the "extras" we received as celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary; a big "thank you" for that.
One small area of disappointment was that the food was a little lacking at times, in comparison to other venues we have stayed on our trip.
We would return in a heartbeat!"

"I loved staying at the Hotel Roosje van de Kaap - Helpi was so welcoming and super friendly. The hotel has a restaurant but is also close to other dining options. There's also onsite parking - I'd definitely stay again next time I'm in Swellendam."
"Amazing hospitality from Melani! Perfect escape for relaxation and getting in touch with nature. Our rooms were modern and well equipped with stunning views of the mountains. There was access to hiking trails directly from the property. We really enjoyed walking into town and lazing around the heated pool. Added joy of having the most well behaved and loving dogs we have ever met! Even if you are not a dog lover, Kenya and Luca will respect your space. Can’t wait to return! "
"Thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. Very welcoming hosts. Excellent cottage with a cute pool with sun beds. Lovely breakfast on the veranda. Would not hesitate to recommend this lovely place. Wonderful restaurants mearby"
