"Staff was excellent, always smiling and ready to help. The kitchen were very easy to engage with and even provided paper plates when needed for breakfast. There was hot water for tea and coffee 24 hours a day. It looks like an old hotel but extremely well maintained. Nice, quiet environment. They also have a fireplace that was lit every night so guests could seat around it. When we needed something in the room, the front desk was quick to dispatch help. I booked this hotel as I was focused on those with at least 9.0 out of 10 review rating and I was not disappointed with the experience. I will definitely recommend anyone staying in Central Long Island or just visiting the NYC region and does not mind taking the train to commute to the city should stay in this hotel. The hotel is also not far from the LIRR train station so if you are driving you can easily park at the train station (and it is free parking) and just commute to Penn Station in Manhattan."

"Clean facility/room, staff was friendly and inviting. Breakfast was NOT free, but had a good menu. Hours of operation were limited, but did serve alcohol. "

"DO NOT book this house! I booked this house for Thanksgiving day visiting family. I received confirmation and everything. However till the day of arrival I never received any instruction on checking in. I called multiple times and only got voice mail in spanish. Finally I received a message saying this house was no longer available several hours before checking in! We had to scramble to find hotel rooms for 10 people. It was totally unacceptable!"

"If you like to cook, this is not the place. If you like to eat out or get take out, it is fine. Below is the extent of the cookware. No casserole, baking sheets, or any oven proof pans, so using the oven is pretty much out unless you go buy what you need. There are plenty of paces to eat close by and get take out. I was there for a week and did fine. Two people max for comfort. It is an apartment built in a garage. A real plus is a heated toilet seat."

"Such a beautiful property! I had a few friends and close family in town for my wedding at Sunset Harbour. Martin, our host, was extremely responsive and answered all my questions before we arrived. The view of the water was amazing, and it was a great place to mingle in between my busy schedule. We didn't get to use the hot tub since we were so busy, but I guess that means my husband and I will just have to return sometime soon!"

"The location is superb, can’t do much better! Towards the end of the main strip for privacy but still right near the action that you come to Ocean Beach for. The rental was clean and stocked with essentials upon our arrival (definitely a life-saver) with the onsite washer/dryer a bonus!As for the property owner, I’m happy to report that this one is a pleasure… congenial, accommodating and professional from the start of the reservation process and onward.We are looking forward to returning next year, thank you again, Peter!"
