"Stayed here 3 nights to attend a family event locally- have stayed before for one night stays only for early flights etc… Hotel has had a refresh not so long ago and the rooms are more modern … although less storage and hanging as most only stay the one night . Room amenities for the room type booked show photos of coffee machines but there was only a kettle. Coffee machines in the next level up room type. Location and facilities of food and beverage excellent. Room servicing was a problem whilst there - the first morning we had room service knock at 8.00am asking if we wanted our room cleaned we had only arrived at midnight. We then had to ask reception when we went out for our room to be serviced as we had been noted as refused. On the last morning with the do not disturb sign on room service staff knocked and entered at 6:50am with check out at 12. Whilst appreciate this is an airport hotel with arrivals and departures through the night the organisation of this service needs reviewing for longer stayers - also should pay attention to electronic service and do not disturb signs. Would not put us off staying again but these minor issues can add up and lead to seeking alternative accommodation for future visits … there are many hotels to chose from these days at Gatwick. On the plus side the pricing is competitive and the standard of accomodation good some signs of age in bathroom seals that could do with upgrade. Welcome at reception was excellent."
