This is a great cottage in a fabulous location.
This is a great cottage in a fabulous location.well appointed and spacious. The village is only a 30 minute walk through picturesque countryside.
We celebrated my husbands birthday there with friends and there was room for us all plus the dog.
Unfortunatley we had issues with the waste overflowing in garden, and a scare with the rayburn which needed a service, so was filling house with fumes which should have been going outside. It was bad enough for the carbon monoxide alarm to go off at 7.30am causing us all to evacuate into garden till the smells had subsided.
The owner of the cottage did sort both issues quickly, and phoned us to check we were ok, but it did somewhat spoil what could have been a perfect stay.

Been coming to this area for years but first time at this cottage
All I can say is idyllic the surroundings are superb detached cottage with wonderful paddock; the dogs and I spent more time outside than inside as we had such excellent weather and we even saw the partial lunar eclipse with such dark skies
The cottage was excellent which was well equipped and good large rooms
The kitchen was perfect with a large window giving views of the local idyllic scenery
The living room was spacious with good large Smart TV
The bathroom facilities were excellent and very clean the downstairs toilet was very handy
The welcome from the owner Anne was excellent and made me feel welcome
The parking is perfect
Ideal base for the whole of Wensleydale and the Yorkshire Dales
Wish I was there now
