Pretty converted stable with lovely outlook onto the garden. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Really appreciated the thoughtful additions and personal touches from the owners to make this feel like a home from home.
Perfect stay at the Stable.Very comfortable, warm and cosy. Spotlessly clean and absolutely everything you need for a wonderful stay. Janet and Nick are perfect hosts, thank you for the welcoming gifts. Truly a wonderful cottage. Thank you. Kath, Sue and Nora
The home was exactly as described, very clean, warm and welcoming and had a lot of amenities. Firewood was provided as well. It was very quiet and peaceful. We would highly recommend staying here!
This was our second stay at the Stable and this time we took two very good friends with us. They wanted a relaxing holiday and the property fitted the bill in every way. We all enjoyed a wonderful stay.
This was our third time at the Stables and we just love it. Its so clean, cosy and comfortable. We love that its just in the middle of the countryside on the edge of beautiful woodland. Nick and Janet are super hosts.
This farm stay is a little slice of heaven. Stayed for 4 nights with my daughters and wish we could have stayed longer. Very clean, very quiet and made to feel so welcome. We will be back.
Needed somewhere to stay for a family wedding in Rye, this was an ideal location, in a peaceful setting, suited our needs perfectly . Will be going back again.
A return visit to this wonderful place - perfect location in the countryside with it's own wood and lots of visiting birds and animals.
So many places of interest to visit locally - highly recommended!
Just wish we could stay longer. The property is just a brilliant place to stop and relax but with plenty to do nearby. We felt able to let our children (6 & 9yo) go into the woods by themselves to play, which is such a joy for all concerned. Highly recommend this property.
4th visit to this property, just love it and hosts very friendly there when you may need them but also stay in the background. Also they leave extra treats for when you arrive. Cant wait to return.
We had a wonderful day at the beautiful converted stables. Extremely peaceful and secluded location, a very well-equipped property, kind arrival treats and fantastic hosts. Thanks very much Nick and Jan!
We had an amazing stay at the Stable. Jan and Nick are lovely hosts, and gave us a good head start into our vacation. They had prints ready where to find the shops we were especially looking for. Besides, they do a lovely farm, birds in the morning, no traffic noises, horses, cows and a pair of donkeys. In short, We Loved IT!
The property is probably the cleanest we’ve stayed in. Picture sitting looking out the window watching the birds on the feeders Wood burner crackling drink in hand music on perfect. Lovely property with all you could need
Absolutely delightful in every way - hosts engaging, property exactly as described and very homely, location just want we wanted in terms of getting away from it all and the added bonus of cows who always seemed pleased to see us. Thanks to our hosts for setting up the wood burner which was an absolute treat - much needed after a very muddy walk in the woods!. Will definitely be looking to visit again.
Our third visit - we love the peace and tranquillity here and spend much time watching the wild birds coming to take peanuts from the feeders. The accommodation is excellent, comfortable and well equipped and with a lot of character.
Our 2nd time at the stables and we just love it! A real home away from home The cottage is so comfortable and cosy and has everything you need. It's also super clean and Janet and Nick are super hosts. The area is beautiful with woodlands on the doorstep and lovely coastline only a short drive away. We'll be back soon again 🙂🙏
Great property, comfortable homely, well equiped, perfect location for me, the only sounds are bird song.
Jan the host is there if wanted and makes your stay perfect, i feel the stress leave me as soon as i walk in, like home from home, im so lucky to have found this place and a big thankyou, Jan for sharing
The cottage is bigger than it looks in the photos. Everything is clean and bright, and it has all you need, very well equipped. Plus a nice welcome gift.
Comfy beds, sofa and super shower.
Watching the local wildlife in the garden was a delight and we were stargazing from the veranda as there is no light pollution.
A real gem of a place.
We love going back to The Stable. It is very comfortable & relaxing . Guestling Woods is beautiful with the bluebells at this time of the year. The great spotted woodpecker was back on the feeder regularly & we also saw the green woodpecker this time! Jan & Nick are always very welcoming. Thank you!
A beautiful and secluded retreat in the gorgeous Sussex countryside
We had a lovely stay at The Stables. The property is very comfortable, clean, and stylish in design. Lots of interesting history to the area. The hosts are great and extremely helpful and we arrived to snacks and a complimentary bottle of wine. We really enjoyed watching the wildlife which included a range of birds, bunnies, squirrels and the odd badger. Very reasonably priced and we would thoroughly recommend. Thank you!
We were after a short break in the area away from the city life and this was the place.
The wildlife is just amazing on your doorstep and the local walks are really good too.
It was lovely to sit out in the garden in the evening and hear only the wildlife and watch the birds in there abundance on the feeders.
Everything you could need at the cottage is provided.
Jan & Nick are close at hand if you ever need anything and are easy to talk too.
The stable was much bigger than the photos show & was veer clean & spacious with everything to hand. The owners Jan & Nick have thought of everything. The garden & woods are lovely, we were lucky to be there with the bluebells in full bloom. Enjoyed seeing all the animals including horses, rabbits, squirrels & lots of different birds. The stars are amazing when the night sky is clear. Lots of places to visit, we went to Rye, Hastings, Canterbury & Bodiam Castle.
What can I say, we had the most delightful stay at The Stables. A completely relaxing retreat for the whole family. The location is so peaceful and tranquil, where the only sound you’ll hear is from the birds flying back and forth to the bird feeder.
Jan and Nick made our stay really welcoming by leaving us a selection of treats to start off our stay, which included a lovely bottle of wine – thank you guys 😊.
Their abode was super clean, comfortable and cosy; with plenty of room for the four of us. Lovely hot water and all the kitchen necessities required for our stay.
We will all definitely be visiting The Stables again; the perfect get-away to get the creative juices flowing and some real quality family time, without gadgets!!
Thank you so much for having us 🙏
