"This is a welcoming local inn with good rooms and a lovely garden area. We ate here in the evening and also had a cooked breakfast the next morning. Both meals were well cooked and reasonably priced. This was our second stay here and we will visit again when in the area."
"The staff were friendly and efficient The room was tastefully decorated and very clean although there were a couple of things could do with a tidy up and could do with some shelving in the bathroom. Food was excellent."
"Lovely accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of Weymouth. Great room and breakfast! Parking, handy for the bus but also walkable in about 20-30minutes."
"We enjoyed our stay at The Spice Ship. It was in a really good location for us and it had parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great and the Sunday roast was the best meal we had had on our 3 week holiday in England! Would stay there again if we are ever back in Weymouth."

The Hide With Private Wood Fired Hot Tub. A truly romantic getaway on a Vineyard
10/10 Excellent
"Very impressed with everything all round, everything was so clean and beautifully decorated, hosts were very informative and kind. The area is beautiful and the view of the vineyard is just stunning."
"Excellent hotel - great find. Very pet friendly. Also very child friendly - be prepared if children not your thing. Lovely indoor pool. Lovely grounds. We stayed in the Deluxe Room which was a great size and design. Lovely views from the balcony - sea, sand, swans and sunsets - amazing!"
"Parking was easy, lots of spaces and all free. Bar had a good feel to it, some cosy corners if preferred. Food was very good and breakfast was good, great choice"
"The room was perfect for what we wanted the staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a really nice time listening to the band outside, would love to have stayed another night "
"A lovely one night stay. The pub is in a quiet village location, close to lots of interesting places in beautiful Dorset countryside. Our room was large, with an equally large bathroom. We ate in the pub in the evening. The menu choice was good, prices reasonable and the food was excellent. We had our breakfast served outside in the garden and, again, this was tasty, hot and really enjoyable. Thoroughly recommended."
"The Old Chapel is a thoughtfully and attractive converted building. It is well equipped, and we enjoyed the social space in the kitchen/diner. The road in front of the downstairs bedrooms was busier than expected during rush hours, and the village amenities were more spread out than we anticipated. We enjoyed the Island Garden Center and coffee shop across the road for a breakfast and lunch. The off-street parking was awkward for an SUV type vehicle but would be alright for a smaller car. It is well situated to visit many interesting locations around south Dorset. "
