"Room was fine. The lobby/eating area was messy with food and crumbs everywhere. Biggest problem was all external doors for leaving, or re-entry with a room key, were duct taped open. I removed tape multiple times so there wasn’t free access into the building. Someone kept replacing the tape over the door latch. Meaning there was no security doors working. "DO NOT STAY HERE. VERY VERY NASTY. VERY RUN DOWN. WOULD NOT HAVE STAYED HERE EXCEPT IT WAS LATE AT NIGHT AND EVERYTHING WAS FULL. WE HAD TO TAKE OUR THROW BLANKET AND LAY IT ON THE BED AND THEN COVER UP WITH OUR OTHER THROW. WILL NEVER STAY AT ANOTHER MOTEL 6."

"Amazing experience at Village Inn Destin. The staff was super friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, always helpful and attentive. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fresh options every morning. The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding — everything was spotless and very well maintained. The location couldn’t be better, close to everything and perfect for enjoying Destin comfortably. On top of that, the nightly rates are very reasonable considering the comfort and prime location. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!"

"Check-in at Harbor Inn Destin was nice, and the view from the room was great, but unfortunately the overall stay was disappointing. The lobby is older and not as clean as it could be. There were broken tiles, and the elevator area was absolutely nasty and took forever to arrive. The floors throughout the hotel looked dirty as well. The room itself had a major moisture issue. It was so humid that the floors and carpet felt sticky, there was condensation on the mirrors, and the room smelled very musty, almost like mold, even though we couldn’t actually see any mold. The first night there was a dog barking in the stairwell most of the night, which made it hard to sleep. The second night was a little quieter, thankfully. The bathtub also would not drain properly and held water while showering. We called the front desk to report it, but no one ever came to fix it. This property has potential because the location and views are beautiful, but they really need to update the rooms, improve cleanliness, fix the humidity issues, and respond better to guest complaints — especially barking dogs in the middle of the night."

"The condo was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Liked having a garage to park the car in I drive a Honda HRV and I had to maneuver very carefully but fit inside just fine. I liked having access to beach chairs and floats. The public beach was a couple blocks walk and the nearby condo that sets up their beach chairs and umbrellas basically told us we had to go all the way down to the other end of the beach because that was where the public beach started however I didn’t think that sounded right. We did what they asked anyway. If you go early in the morning before they set up or late afternoon once they remove everything it’s a much better beach experience. Lots of boats pull up to allow people to get off for a while. The water is absolutely wonderful and clear and changes colors throughout the day. Water was cool and the sand was so soft just loved it. There was an issue communication and information between the host and Vrbo, they got a new keyless entry instead of keys in the lock box Vrbo did not give us that new information and the owner didn’t get back to us until 9:33pm about the keyless code to the door we got there a little after 4pm. She said she had to give Vrbo the information again. She had been driving all day. Vrbo had a virtual assistant that was no help at all. While you can see the ocean from the back deck. it is as the description says about a 7 to 10 min walk. Over all we had a wonderful stay. Stores are close by for anything you may need for stay. "
