Excellent. Very kind. Good value. Pool is a life saver when it is hot. Breakfast was great and worth the extra money for the convenience of having it as an option.

The pictures on the website make this property look nice but you can tell immediately upon arrival that the property is not very clean. Check-in was great and the staff was helpful but our room smelled bad as if people had smoked in the room previously and also the walls were dirty, water-damaged, and had mold on it. The floors were worn and also not very clean. We left the hotel shortly after check-in and went to a different hotel in the Old Quarter for less money but much nicer.

A place which is not welcoming. Rude staff and not courteous at all. We were not even offered a glass of water while check in despite of welcome drink in package. No toiletries provided on second day. Nobody at swimming pool to provide water. Restaurant closed for lunch. Overall a very pathetic service

Paon hotel was clean and comfortable, breakfast had a good variety, staff were friendly and bent over backwards to help and make our stay memorable. Would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Excellent location near the Hoam Kiem Lake! We loved the short 5 minute walk to the action - plenty around including night markets, street activities and heaps of shopping and excellent food options. The room was clean, large enough and the shower was great. Be aware that there are two narrow and steep staircases to access the pool and the restaurant on the top floor. We did not use the pool, again be aware it is far smaller than you expect from the pictures. But we did enjoy lounging in the outdoor space with a few beers. Hotel staff were very professional and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Disappointing
We were a little disappointed with the hotel, we had decided to splash out for Christmas on a nice hotel rather than the usual budget hostal, we were told our booking included a welcome drink which we didn’t receive, when we asked the staff looked at us blankly. We were told by the hotel on email there was a party for guests on Christmas Eve but again the staff didn’t know anything about it. House keeping woke us early on Christmas Day to clean the room, we left the room for about four hours only to come back to find it had not been cleaned. Breakfast was really disappointing, limited options, cold coffee, only warm drinking water available. There is a chef who cooks breakfast eggs but none of the staff knew what poached eggs were, I showed them a picture they said yes we do that, I then received under cooked boiled eggs - I like a runny yolk, but the whites were runny too. We also witnessed other guests getting the wrong eggs or under cooked eggs. There was also construction work going on on the staircase leading to breakfast during breakfast serving hours.
