Friendly staff and great location

Great and friendly staff. Location is spot on near to everything. Room could use a renovation as it was worn out. Cleaning could be more thoroughly done as I even found hair in the refrigerator.

10 days in Maro

I and my friend spent 10 days here and it was worth it. If you wanna travel Halong Bay, tell the front manager and he would friendly recommend you the best trip. Among everything, what's great about this hotel is the location :) nice restaurants, nice beer place, beautiful lake are just around. It would be very crowded and you gotta always keep an eye on bikes but, you can literally enjoy everything here. Have a nice trip !

Stay was ok i arrived for breakfast at 9.28 when it finished at 9.30 and they said for me to get noodles down the street instead of offering me anything which considering how much a paid for a very basic room was disappointing. I didn't feel like i had value for money plenty of better options available for less money

Don't go here! Very dirty room, generally not well cleaned. Hairs in the bathroom and living area. A big cockroach walked on the floor, at this point I left the hotel. I had booked 3 nights and they said they would refund me, but now they refuse. I left the hotel without sleeping there.

The hotel is located in old quarter. It is within walkable distance to almost everything, everything if you enjoy walks. The room is comfortable and quiet, considering situated on a very busy street. I had many good sleeps even when traffic is horrendous outside. Staff is friendly and attentive. Also perhaps it is better to book ride to and from the airport with them? I paid over 500k viet dong for a one way trip from the airport to the hotel by taxi. When I booked the trip back with the hotel, it was only 300k. It is quite reasonable. I wish I had known before or the hotel had emailed and offered the service. Over all, it is a good hotel located in a very convenient location.

Hôtel très bien placé, l'hôtelier nous a donné une grande chambre famille sur cours sans aucun bruit, ce qui était parfait pour nous. Néanmoins, nus avions deux fenêtres sans lumière du jour. Nous conseillons vivement le Maro Hôtel.

立地を優先して決めたのでそこについては 良かったです。 部屋は写真より古さを感じ清潔感は少し低いかな。 チェックイン時に冷蔵庫の電源が入らなかったのですが、出掛けている間に交換してくれました。 スタッフの対応は良いです。 特に女性スタッフは翻訳アプリを使い一生懸命対応して くれました。 空港送迎のタクシー手配等お世話になりました。 また利用してもよいかと思います。

Penalties for smoking in the toilet of the rooms

I have been penalty for 500,000 for smoking inside my rooms toilet. They should inform me about this regulation while checking in and not during checking out. Anyway I will not use this hotel anymore and will inform my friends and associates about this bad experience.

Rummet var väsentligt mindre än vad bilderna visar. Ingen plats för två öppna resväskor. Ena sidan av sängen hade varken nattduksbord eller hylla att lägga saker på. Stenhård säng och enorm kudde. Jag tog en handduk till kudde. Frukosten hade inga pålägg förutom margarin och sylt. Utöver det, endast ägg, frukt, nudelsoppa. Fruktansvärt lyhört, och stojigt på morgnarna. Rekommenderas inte, trots mycket vänlig personal.

I like the location , the hotel was clean and family room is bigger than I expected for a small hotel. Staff pretty awesome very helpful. What I didn’t like is they put a bowl of candy sweet on the front desk ,so my kid would love to take it each time we went down LOL 😁 just for a laugh! Thank you MARO !!!

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Old Quarter

WOW! Wish we had booked this place on the front end of our trip in Hanoi! We only stumbled across it because the end of our trip our previous hotel was booked. Lucky for us! This place is situated perfectly in the Old Quarter with a close walk to everything. It's down the by lake plaza so off the main roads, which was nice since we didn't have to march through the crowded and noisy streets to get to this area. We booked the family room which did not face the road so it was very quiet. The room was quite large with a kitchenette and sitting area as well. Very comfortable for our family of three. I will go back here for sure if we visit Hanoi again in the future. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. Thank you Maro Hotel! We really enjoyed our stay with you.

２泊しました。 １泊目深夜着で、部屋に入ると暖房がつきませんでした。スタッフに言うと部屋に来てくれましたがスイッチがつかないと「寒くないからつかない」と言われたので気温9度でさむかったのですが仕方なくその日は過ごしました。もちろん寒すぎて一睡もできませんでした。しかし、次の日はロビーも朝食会場もしっかり暖房はついていました。 私は寒い思いをして我慢したのにあまりに酷い対応だと思います。 ２日目にスタッフに再度暖房がつかない旨を言い、再度対応してもらいました。 しかし、まだ暖房がつかない状態にもかかわらず何度も「ＯＫ！」と言って部屋を出ていこうとしたので、かなり食い下がってエアコンをどうにかする様にお願いしました。 ３０分ぐらいしてやっと着くようになりましたが、なんどもしつこい位言ったりしないと誠実な対応をしてもらえないし、嘘をつかれて放置されます。冬のハノイで暖房なしは相当つらいです。 あと、対応の際、私のベッドの上にすわったり、裸足でのったりされてとてもいやでした。 寝る場所に、裸足で乗るのは不潔だと思います。

EXCELLENT location! 2 minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. The staff (notably: Maria, Eric, Robinson, and Monika) went above and beyond. ALWAYS so pleasant and helpful with any requests or problems. Even sending out someone to buy me some fruits at the market early morning because my bus pickup was so early before breakfast room was open. I stayed in Suite Room (facing busy and noisy street, but noise didn't bother me at all at night). Nice BIG room! Would 100% stay there again, such great location and incredible staff.
