A Convenient Place to Stay in Hanoi's Old Quarter

The hotel was located in a convenient location, close to St. Joseph's Cathedral and a short walk from Hoan Kiem Lake. There were plenty of places to eat near the hotel as well as money exchange places and tour offices just down the street. It could be a little noisy at night with sounds of speaking and various activities coming in from the street, but I think you would find this anywhere in the Old Quarter.

The staff tried their best to communicate and I give them credit for that but it would be better if they will start learning how to speak english because they are dealing with so many nationalities. Overall I’m satisfied with my stay at this hotel.

Fantastic stay

Amazing hotel in Hanoi. Lisa and Martin were extremely helpful during our stay, finding the best deals and recommending which tours to go on. We booked Ha Long Bay, Ha Giang Loop and our taxi through them. The location is brilliant. It is walking distance to everywhere in Old Quarter. Great street food very locally to the hotel also. Don’t hesitate to stay here!

Horrible experience on all levels. I went to check in and they said there were no rooms avaliable even though a had pre booked ahead. They moved me to a sister hotel down the road only for 1 out if my 2 nights. The room was full of mold, top to bottom. I went to ask the receptionist for a different room and he said there were non available. So I grabbed my bags and went back to the original hotel to get a refund and look for somewhere else to stay at 10 pm. Magically, they were able to find another room at hotel #2 even though I was just told the were non avaliable. Fortunately this new room had a fresh coat of paint over the mold so I got a buzz to help me fall asleep and forget about it. Unfortunately I woke up with a bad headache and had to cancel my non-refundable day trip so I could switch rooms mid day. They told me I needed to switch rooms at 12pm . So I put a do not disturb sign up and went for breakfast. When I came back at 11am to organize my belongings and switch rooms, it was full of staff cleaning around my belongings. At first I thought I was hallucinating from the paint fumes, but after pinching myself I realized this was actually happening. At this point I just stayed silent, partly because I was in shock, and partly because of the buzz of the paint was wearing off. I highly dont recommend this hotel. It is unfortunate because the local is very good. I wouldn't wish this costly experience on my worst enemy.

You get what you pay for, we only needed a place to sleep for a couple nights before we had to catch the train so we decided on this hotel. Towels are very dirty some with holes in them. Walls are dirty as well. AC is GREAT though

It was very quiet if you’re looking to sleep. Photos make it look a lot nicer than it actually is, but the price was fairly low, so you get what you pay for. My main problem was when we tried to leave the room one morning and our door wouldn’t lock. There was no one at the front desk to help, so we called the number that was provided on the desk. They said they could have someone there in 20 minutes to fix the door and that we could just leave with the door unlocked and it would be handled..
