Location of the hotel was great and the staff were nice, but someone else was in our room! We were taken to the next room first which was a better room (the safe there didn’t work, though.) We could have stayed there, but we were moved to the lower grade room on a different floor. That really messed up and I was late for the program I wanted to go because of that. Also one side of the bed was so itchy. I woke up during the night because of that. We kept getting someone else’s laundry, too. We were also disappointed that there were no fruits for breakfast.
Organised early check at 7am
Only 1 room ready
Lots of excuses
At 11,30 was told I could have a better room if I paid more
Them can have better room same price
Then you have to change rooms at 10.30pm to standard room
No manager to speak to unless they were hiding
Standard room no window
Breakfast poor choice and quality
Great place, as long as you stay with the Superior or Deluxe (some of the Standard are small without window to outside, then you’re better of at a okay hostel).
Not in the very center, but close enough. Nice service, but three things easy to improve: 1) the breakfast is a bit sloppy, for instants empty of tea most of the time. 2) The bathtub was really not clean. 3) For the ones that require silence, there is a water pump or something in the attic that makes an annoying sound during night. Probably sounds even better in the back, where there is no traffic that accompanies it.
To bad, cause for this price range the hotel is almost perfect!

Liked: Room comfort
Disliked: Staff & service
For cheap stay in central Hanoi
The room was a pleasant surprise as it was sufficiently large and well equipped. The staff was nice and smily. The downside was the breakfast, very poor, and the internet, which was intermittently working and not working. This hotel is for a cheap stay in a convenient/central location of Hanoi, but not for business.
Bien. Chambre spatieuse et bien équipée.
Personnel aimable mais communication limitée car non maitrise de l'anglais.
Bémol sur le petit déjeuner, café imbuvable et plat très inférieur a tout ce qui se fait autour.

the staffs are nice, but need to improve english level.
We ended up staying at the Silver Boutique Hotel for four days and it was a fantastic base in the French Quarter to see the sights of Hanoi and visit attractions further afield such as Halong Bay and Sapa. Thai at the front desk is friendly and knowledgable and was a fantastic help organising tours and train tickets. Highly recommended.
NIce hotel, very friendly staff. Rooms are nice BUT aircon didn't work in my room and i was just given a small portable aricon unit. Also the guard smokes permanently in the reception area which makes breathing in the lobby close to unbearable.
I really recommend this place. It is close to lot of places. Great staff and they really go out of their way to service people. Extremely professional. Would stay again at this place.
I stayed silver room for New Year's Day 2013.
I enjoyed my stay thanks to great staffs and nice room with balcony. There are many good restaurant around hotel.
Their recommendation for Halong bay tour was also great.
They accepted our requests. They really gave us good service with flexibility.
The only thing a little bit bad was sometimes shower was cold.
But, I want to stay again this hotel.
I would definitely recommend the Silver Hotel in Hanoi. It is a little boutique hotel that is modern, very clean and the staff were so helpful especially the manager, Miss Thai, she speaks great English and nothing was too much trouble. Without her we would probably still be sitting on a train somewhere! She wrote out directions in English and Vietnamese to make our journey to Haiphong relatively easy and gave us her business card in case we got into trouble, told us we could email or ring at any time and she would help us out. The Silver Hotel made our stay in Hanoi very enjoyable.
