Considered one of the best locations in all of Hana town area, the Gold Coast of Hana. Centrally located near the best swimming beach, Hana town and the National parks.

Private vacation rental with the vintage style Hawaii ambiance and decor! Newly refurbished in 2019!

Hale Manu, which means the 'Bird House', is a large two-bedroom guesthouse, privately located in the rear of our property with great ocean views from the spacious deck. The Hawaiian styled architecture includes open beamed, vaulted ceilings, a large center cupola for great airflow, an open floor plan and a large lanai for evening dining under the stars or morning coffee with the sunrise.

Over time, we have completely renovated, including a large fully equipped kitchen, an all tile bathroom, queen sized beds with high thread count all cotton bedding, propane BBQ and an additional table for dining on the lanai. The ocean facing bedrooms are conducive to romantic sultry evening breezes.

Free high speed wireless internet access, Netflix and Amazon Prime movies, free landline phone service to USA and Canada, washer/dryer, microwave and more. You can also enable your cellphone calls to the internet.

Hale Manu is perched at the rear of our fully landscaped, two-acre property, providing privacy. Hamoa Beach, considered the best in town, is just minutes away. We provide beach fins, chairs and beach towels.

The Hana Guest Houses are in an area named (Malanai) after the gentle cooling breezes, known for this area of Hana. We are located just 3.6 miles (a five minute drive) outside of Hana Town center in the Maka’alae district, which is considered the most highly desired area of Hana.

Lovely Private Cottage

Perfect getaway. The property manager was very friendly, extremely responsive and helpful. Very close to the beaches and to town. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and pillows. Wifi works well. Very quiet. Nice airflow with new large windows and double doors and fans in every room. The beach towels/chairs plus washer and drier were an added bonus. I would definitely stay here again.

Paradise in Hana

This charming guest house exceeded our expectations! Tucked away off the road at the back of the property, we had plenty of privacy to enjoy the lush beauty of Hana and the surrounding area. The house was clean, well stocked, and had a chill vibe that was just what we were looking for. The house is just outside of the town but very accessible to it. The owner clearly cares for the house and was responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend this accommodation and would love to return!

Relaxing Hana Visit

We loved the comfort and privacy of the Hale Manu cottage. It was a convenient location to sites both north and south of Hana. Starting the day sitting on the deck beneath the giant avocado tree was a pleasure. The kitchen was fully supplied for eating in. There was plenty of space to relax. The owners supplied just about everything you would need to enjoy the local beachs - beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, folding chairs. Wish we could have stayed longer than 3 days.

Hana is Heavenly - The Promotion for this place exaggerates

It is not "by" Hamoa Beach. It is misleading to suggest that it is. It is in the vicinity, you could walk there, but "by the beach" is an exaggeration. Similarly the place is nice, but I would hardly describe the decor as "impeccable". 1 bathroom for 4 people hardly qualifies as impeccable in my view. No air conditioning when the temperatures are in the 80's can make sleep challenging. I prefer more accurate, less inflated descriptions. You can see the blue of the ocean above the trees in the distance but again "ocean views" suggests more to me than what you find here. There are many other places in Hana where the Ocean Views (including the beaches and expanse of the shoreline) is right outside your door. Not here. 3 stars. No more than that in our view. Suggestion to the owners - be who you are. It's plenty good enough. You don't need to pretend to be something you aren't. I guess "inflated" descriptions are common in real estate but it seems out of place to sell vacation renatls in an environment where you are going to get feedback.

Beautiful Hana Getaway

This property was beautiful. We were a little nervous with no air conditioning but the breeze during the day and night was just fine. Loved having a great kitchen and washer/dryer. I would love to stay here again and hopefully one day we will. Beautiful location and viewing all the flowers and plants was amazing.

Great location, beautiful & private

Beautiful and well-appointed home. Great to be close to Venus pool. We were a little reluctant without a/c but didn’t regret it, good trade winds through the house. A little toasty on the afternoon but we found ourselves at the beach h and exploring so just right. Really nice place with every kitchen utensil we could want. The coffe you find yourself was a nice touch.

Real Hawaii

This is a taste of real Hawaii. The area is absolutely beautiful. The home has everything you need to enjoy the area. Raw natural beauty abounds!! Must see Hamoa and Koki beaches. Take the boogie boards and chairs! Note: No AC and days are hot. The night cools off and you can sleep comfortably.

The home is open and breezy. The ceiling is an incredible multi-tiered wood beam structure. Although a bit warm by day, at night the cool air puts you right to sleep. The bed was comfortable without being too soft. The cookware is complete and in good shape except for the baking sheets. Plenty of foil, wrap, spices and paper towels are supplied. The microwave is horribly located in a bottom cabinet. You have to get on the floor to access it. There is plenty of open counter space for it. So, that was odd. The tub has a very high wall to step over with no grab bars. The area is as peaceful as you could ask for and the house perfectly located between the National and Sate parks and relatively close to Hana. I loved seeing the geckos. The Geico mascot is dull in comparison. The double doors in the living room couldn't be securely locked because the top bolt wouldn't slide up into the hole in the frame. We weren't too worried about it. The house is set back from the road. In fact we drove past the little sign a few times looking for it. It didn't seem like somewhere vagrants would wander up the drive to the house. So, it felt safe. It's a great location and a very nice home, but quite pricey. The owners are extremely particular about their bed spreads. I guess they're an heirloom. The deck is large with a view of the ocean. There's no cell service but the WiFi is good and the owners allow the use of the land line.

Beautiful Space

This was a beautiful Hawaiian home. We enjoyed our stay there and it was so beautiful to wake up with the sunset coming through the palm trees and being able to see the starry night. This is such a beautiful area to visit and spend some time in. We will definitely return again!

Fantastic peaceful getaway spot

We loved this place! The fresh avocados were amazing to taste every day, and being a short walk to Tony and Caroline's fruit stand was a treat. We selected it for its proximity to Hamoa beach, and we were not disappointed. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped. It was the perfect place to unwind and use as home for a few days while enjoying and exploring Hana. Would come back again!

Best Bungalow!

We have decided if we build a home - it will have this floor plan. Open welcoming, and spacious - large kitchen, quality wood table to bring the family together, and fun sitting area. When we came in island music welcomed our senses and flowers freshly strewn through the rooms were visual delights. The beautiful grounds had the most amazing flowers and a huge avocado tree. Floor fans were welcome for the sitting area and bedrooms. Ceiling fans helped move the air. You could see a bit of the ocean from the bedrooms. Loved the house geckos! Just delightfully beautiful and so welcoming - like coming home. Mahalo for such a wonderful family experience!
