Beautiful Waterfront, Sun, Sky, Hot Tub Open Year Round & Gameroom!

This house (sleeps 10-12)

Wide open sky, hot tub under the stars, outdoor shower, friendly personal home with funky furniture - all on an open bay with 190 degree views. You can swim off the deck, or drive a short distance to either Ocean beaches or calm Bay beaches. Fully supplied chef’s kitchen, comfortable memory foam beds. A game room with a video arcade, Skeeball, bumper pool, two pinball machines, shuffle 9’ board and a basketball game. Outside there is a full sized bocce court, Ping pong, beach games, paddle boards and kayaks (for ages 15 and up. Life vests are provided and required by the Bay constable.)
Nearby watersports include deep sea fishing excursions, local fishing (an easily obtained free online license is required,) and jet ski rentals. There are many public golf courses within 15 minutes drive and North Fork vineyards start about 20 minutes away.

Several restaurants are within walking distance of the house - The Edgewater - Italian food with a view, Cowfish - On the Canal, watch boats and sunset go by, Out of the Blue selling cooked lobsters to go, The Canal Cafe - a bistrot set on the canal in a top notch Marina, famous for it's Lobster Roll, and across the street from our house is the Hampton Maid - the best breakfast in the Hamptons in a cute country setting. Newly reopened Canoe Place Inn has a charming bar and history. And that's just walking distance. A quarter mile away is Meschutt Beach State Park, featuring live music during the summer and a full bar and outdoor restaurant, not to mention a fine sunset over the North Fork and it's islands. Also nearby are year round waterfront restaurants Rumba’s and Cowfish.

Our house is a year round rental, popular in the off season, (hot tub is on!) Birthdays, Bridal and Baby Showers (sorry, no weddings please), Vineyard tour groups, golf groups, and memorable family gatherings of all types.

The majority of our renters are returning renters. No groups under age 25

Terrific Beach House!

Stayed for a blustery President’s Weekend with grandparents, college and high school kids, and dogs. Great house for a multi-generational, pet-friendly vacation with knock-out views. Would love to return in the spring or summer!

Christmas by the Bay

Wonderful throw back beach house..nothing fancy but very comfortable and the views are amazing! Loved spending our Christmas Holiday relaxing by the bay..and the year round hot tub was up and running when we got there! Perfect spot..will definitely go back next year!

Magnificent View

The home was everything that the pictures and description portrayed. My group and I loved having our coffee on the back desk while watching the sun rise. Simply magnificent location with lots to do within a short drive. I highly recommend this property. We're looking forward to renting it again in the future. Thank you v to the host. Loved our stay at the Anchor house!

This house is so fantastic. So peaceful, so much space, and such incredible views! It's so close to the water, it feels like you're on a boat. The location was fantastic, and we had everything we needed to make meals and enjoy our time together. There's also plenty to do between the game room, the hot tub, and a big collection of books. Communication and checkin was seamless. Can't wait to come back!

beautiful views

we had a wonderful experience in this house overlooking the bay. the deck was to die for, plenty of seating for sun worshiping and shade lovers. we ate all meals outside. the game room was so much fun. It’s a beach house, so it’s a little run down….. could use some TLC … but the views don’t get any better. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Fantastic spot!

We had an amazing time at this wonderful house! Nicely stocked kitchen & farmhouse-style dining areas, astonishingly beautiful view of the Shinnecock Bay from the gorgeous deck, and fun activities abound here. We loved the hot tub, the game room, the bocce court, and the fire pit. Cool art, interesting decor, and fascinating book collection, combined with the delightful views of bird life made it feel like we’d stumbled on to a very sweet unusual sanctuary. Our host Reginald was great to deal with. We hope to come back with the extended family, this house will be fantastic for a group. We can’t wait to return in the warm weather to enjoy the watercraft and fishing!

Beautiful view!

Absolutely amazing outdoor area. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Game room was a lot of fun for our adults. We all want our own pinball machine now! Hot tub was great. First floor layout is open and good for large groups, but it also has a few different areas to hang out in. Only downside was the beds, particularly in the two upstairs bedrooms. No box springs.

Family Getaway

Overall my family did enjoy our experience here. Glows: The house has great views and is spacious. Plenty of outdoor areas to enjoy. Convenient and clean laundry room. Grows: We expected the house to be cleaner and better kept. Fans very dusty, AC filters black, childrens “toys” & kayaks were not well kept. Outdoor shower floor is extremely slippery, needs a good power wash. No cushions on outdoor furniture, many windows & screens broken which limited use. Did not use game room, couch was not inviting to sit on & many bugs all over.

There’s good and bad to explain.

I’ll just share as much as I can so you have more to help in your decision. The good: Really awesome game room for kids and grown ups. Great large hot tub. Beautiful view of water from out back and many windows inside, including the master bedroom upstairs. Extra den with TV upstairs so two families can have plenty of room and privacy. The bad: We didn’t receive detailed home entry instructions until I frantically reached the owner a few hours before check-in. Try to get those instructions earlier and review as they do contain surprises, like a request from owners to shower outside, to not burden the 1935 plumbing. The home is not really pristine, it is in need of upkeep compared to other water front homes. The master shower has mold and rust within. The master bathroom door does not close, seemingly due to warped or swollen doors. It remains open about 1/4 inch. If you’re laying on the left side of the bed, you can peek at the person on the toilet. Not my thing. The doors leading to the backyard, waterfront also do not close nor open easily. My 12 and 13 year old boys could not open nor close those doors. Warped or swollen. The downstairs area was populated with house flies, which I originally thought was because of the door problem but at the end of the stay, I found that there was an upper breezeway window left open about an inch, left open by the cleaning crew or previous guest, not us. We were told , a few hours ahead of checkin that the dishwasher wouldn’t work. No apology nor compensation offered. Not what the mom wants to hear at the beginning of her trip to a home rental. We were woken up to a knock at the door, without warning, on our final day, by an unannounced repairman for the dishwasher. I had to wake my son and move him upstairs as he was sleeping in the bedroom downstairs off of the kitchen, and a stranger was now in the rental home. I finally complained to the owner at that time, and he said he told the repair person to come later in the morning, still before checkout. I waited a long time to write this review because it’s not my nature to write negative reviews.

Ladies getaway

House is spacious with 4 bedrooms and bathrooms. Tons of games and activities. Could easily be entertained for several days. And it's right on the water. What's better than to have breakfast overlooking the beautiful bay.

Beautiful Location

We had a great time at this property. The location and views were amazing. There was a lot to do right there with the Bocce court, Ping Pong table, Game Room and Kayaks. The size was perfect for the whole family.
