Great location. Perfect house to gather with family -easy walk to charming village and local park - within driving distance of all the places we needed to visit. Kitchen has all amenities and living area is very cozy!

Family reunion trip

Home was very clean with all supplies needed for our stay of 3 nights. Location was perfect with ability to walk to town as well as a bonus a state park hiking trail accessible from the back yard.

Nice place!

We have rented a number of places on VRBO and this is our favorite. It was charming, clean and spacious. We don't have small children but if we did this would be perfect with a game room downstairs and an outdoor playhouse. Would definitely return!

The captain cottage was exactly what Mom and I wanted! Beautiful views of the bay,super easy five minute walk to the main street of Cold Spring Harbor, adorable house with everything you need, and Kim was on top of it every time we neededhelp. Thank you so much for hosting us and cannot wait to be back!

Beautiful and well thought out property

Perfect spot for us to have access to family and boating Everything is very well thought out and when we did have family visit, we had everything we needed. Kim is very responsive and when there was a need, she made sure it was met. We will be back!

Well stocked with beautiful views

Great communication and easy to access. The pictures really captured everything we’d be getting at the rental. Cozy place with really great views of the sunsets. Plenty of towels, dishes, soap and paper goods. Checkout was also an easy and reasonable process!

Cold Spring Harbor getaway

This is a quaint property located off the main road going through town but you would never know it. It is quiet and tranquil. Property is clean and well maintained. The owner has provided many amenities, my husband appreciated the well stocked coffee"nook." We walked everywhere and it was fun to explore the waterfront. A quick drive to Sagamore Hill and Oyster Bay. We enjoyed our stay. Owner was very responsive to my questions.

Great stay in a charming town!

I travelled to work for the week on Long Island with two work colleagues. This house made the trip a treat! Love the kitchen amenities and great beds. The owner was so kind and although it snowed on day, the porch and drive were shoveled before we left for work. One caveat: if you don’t like stairs, this isn’t the place for you. If stairs are fine, I can’t recommend this super clean and absolutely charming house more. Will gladly book again when I visit.

A Delightful Stay at Captain's Cottage!

Our family had an absolutely delightful stay at the Captain's Cottage in Cold Spring Harbor! The moment we walked in, we were impressed by the stylish and charming decor that gave the home a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The entire house was spotlessly clean and very well-maintained, making us feel right at home. The cottage had all the amenities we could possibly need, and we were pleasantly surprised to find some extra touches that made our stay even more comfortable. The location was ideal, with stunning views of the harbor and easy access to nearby attractions. We would definitely recommend the Captain's Cottage to anyone visiting the area and hope to come back ourselves someday!

Passover Family Time

Came into town for Passover in Syosset, this was a great home to stay in for the long weekend. Beautiful location with lots in walking distance so we could enjoy the area. Kitchen amazingly well stocked to be able to help with cooking. As others have mentioned, the stairs to one of the King bedrooms are very steep so at least 2 guests need to be able to essentially go up and down a ladder- our guest mix made this fine. Backyard seating area was beautiful with direct access to Cold Spring Harbor State park. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

From the moment you hit the driveway everything about this property is an escape. Every detail is purposeful and makes you feel so welcomed and thought of in so many special ways. House with a view

I rented this home for a multi-family vacation. We all absolutely loved the house. The beautiful view of the habor was amazing to see out the windows, porches, and backyard. The next door neighbors are very friendly. The house is very beautiful inside and comfortable. Bed upstairs was soft, king bed on the main floor is medium firm. The single beds on main floor one is soft one really firm. The playhouse in the backyard was the highlight for my grandson and made his vacation so special. In walking distance is a deil with the best coffee in town . They have bagels delivered daily and other delicious breakfast sandwiches. There are many restaurants, groceries stores and train station in the area. There is also a 24 hrs CVS close by. You can walk down to the boat dock and see mussels during low tide. The fire pit in the backyard was nice to sit around and hangout. The owners are friendly and responsive if you have an issue.

Really enjoyed our stay for Parents Weekend with our Son on leave from the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Delightful location. didn't get to enjoy teh outside as much due to some rain, but wonderful outdoor facilities. Woudl definitly stay again.
