Carlton was great, so handy to the train station, 20 minute stroll into the old town, staff were so helpful giving some site seeing tips. Certainly value for money and have no issues recommending a stay

Staff were warm and helpful. Rooms relatively spacious and clean. Hotel has a quirky bar and sitting area which is really pleasant. Hotel is a short walk from the metro. Hotel walking distance to all shops, sites and restaurants. Easy to walk around and immerse yourself with the locals.

Helpful staff at checkin. Room was available before official checkin time and at checkout we could leave our luggage in storage.

The staff were so helpful! They stored our bags when we arrived early and checked us in so that we only needed to pick up our room keys. The city map and directions meant we hit the ground running. Breakfast was also great!

Stayed for 5 days and would have to say it is the friendliest hotel with most helpful staff we have experienced. Large rooms, spotlessly clean and amazing breakfast included in price. Catered for gluten free ( if advised beforehand) with a special plate of rolls and pastries brought to table.
Ghent itself is the best treasure (the Ghent Alterpiece 16E tour essential) but also a good base place to stay for train trips to Brugge, Antwerp etc. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to Gand...

1898 The Post is a beautifully restored 19th-century post office, perfectly located in the heart of Ghent’s historic old town. From the moment we arrived, Amy made us feel genuinely welcome, providing a warm introduction to the hotel, a helpful orientation to our room, and excellent recommendations to make the most of our short stay.
Our room was elegant and comfortable, and while the bed was a little narrower than we would have preferred, we still enjoyed a good night’s sleep. What truly made...
