"We were in town to attend Loyola Universities new student tour. This hotel is conveniently located. We were pleasantly surprised with staff, cleanliness and comfort of this hotel. Lots of dining options within walking distance. Parking is a little difficult, so we used the valet service (quite pricey). Would definitely stay here again."

"Phenomenal hotel!! From the moment I walked in my room, I knew that this would be preferred choice for my next Chicago area visit. Great staff, especially the restaurant staff!! Beautiful property. Close to everything, including train!! Only cons: If you book through a 3rd party app (Expedia), let them know immediately or wake up to daily charges. Also, the $50 early check in fee... if my room is already ready, I don't understand the fee. Other than that, you'll have no regrets with The GEM of Evanston!!!"

"we spent a long weekend here while visiting our daughter at loyola. location was absolutely perfect--easy walk to loyola and edgewater, and quick walk to the red line too! plenty of space for all twelve of us, 3 parking spots was huge! we'll be back!"
