Five stars for the staff alone! Sophie at the front desk was very professional, kind, and so helpful from check-in to check-out. She also went above and beyond to help me with transportation back to Hanoi. The rooms are beautiful and, most importantly, very quiet—perfect for getting a good night's rest in a busy city. The central location and terrace view are unbeatable. I'll definitely be back! The breakfast buffet was amazing.
We stayed only one night at Tru by Hilton but the experience was great. Excellent location, nice views of Ha Long, nice & clean rooms which look brand new. Highly recommended to anyone planning to stay on the mainland.
Location! Location! Location!
A skip and a hop from the beautiful Ha Long Bay. We took a memorable walk along the bay and then went in the opposite direction to enjoy yummy local food.
To top it off, the service and cleanliness of the rooms were amazing as well as how quiet it was!
Definitely the place I’d stay again at Ha Long Bay.
Great location with an amazing view of Halong Bay and proximity to sights and shops.
We were kindly upgraded to King rooms as we arrived a bit early for check in and those were the only rooms available.
Folks who worked there are friendly and helpful and we recommend this hotel for those looking to visit Halong area!
We tru-ly enjoyed our stay at Tru Hilton as the staff were fabulous. They offered an early check-in and were helpful throughout as it was during "TET"when everything was closed. The balcony view was excellent to see all the fireworks. The staff even gave us a gift for the Lunar New Yr! Breakfast was delicious too! We loved the modern decor and hip vibe of the hotel spaces. Our room was super clean and well designed and maintained. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Ha Long City!!! Much appreciated. 😃😃
If you are looking to find a hotel from the tourist infested part of Halong Bay, this hotel is for you. It is located in Hon Gai with baste views of Karst Mountains. It is beside a walking park and is nearby the local bars and restaurants.
Now, Tru doesn’t have a lot of the bells and whistles of some hotels, but for a quiet neighborhood without a lot of tourists and Hon Gai beach is a 15 minute Grab ride away. Their museum is a 15 minute walk away that was interesting and informative.
Many might confuse Halong with the lit up buildings and the cable cars going up and down Sunworld, you’re sorely wrong. That is where the tour groups are coming in and out of with westerners and their kids in tow gawking at their social media.
If you want the boat rides to Cat Ba and the rest of the islands, the two marinas are only 15 and 30 minute away. But be prepared if you are a traveler for crowds of tourists getting off cruise liners.
