We went on an emperor cruise for 4 nights and 5 days for part of our honeymoon. It was a truly remarkable experience. Karen, Chi and the other staff made us feel special every step of the way. Their hospitality was warm, personal, kind and thorough.
The ship is gorgeous, with wood spiraling staircase connecting all 4 floors, beautiful artwork with ceramics all throughout. The paintings were all done by the same artist and depicted Vietnamese scenes. It felt like a warm and inviting museum at times.
Each evening there was a cooking class during happy hour. There was food and drinks provided and then we would get to learn a Vietnamese dish then eat our handiwork. We got to bring home beautifully printed recipes that I am really looking forward to recreating. After dinner each night we could also do squid fishing.
The food on this ship was incredible, exceeded expectations! The cook asked for feedback frequently to adjust things but we there was no negative feedback to give. I love to cook and bake and I could see the thoughtfulness and hard work that went into every meal.
The spa services were a delight, come back from an excursion and get a massage. Minesa was great and learned what we liked and disliked, always adjusting to our needs.
The excursions were amazing. We went kayaking, swimming, visited a pearl farm, floating fishing village, fish sauce factory, explored caves, Viet Hai village, hiked Tito island and cruised all throughout the Cat Ba and Halong Bay islands.
Small and very traditional boat, the boat is beautiful condition, the team on board are amazing and the food and attention to detail make a huge difference it’s a 10 out of 10
Emperor Cruises ensures your privacy as opposed to other cruises in Halong Bay. With just only 6 cabins to choose from, including 2 Royal Suites located at the front of the boat, you feel right at home on a yacht that is not crowded. The staff is attentive and the experience is a memorable one. The crew needs to work on the food in order to meet more international standards. All in all, a great experience to witness one of wonders of the world. We recommend booking one of the Royal Suites for more privacy and space.
