It was real nice being right on the lake waking up to the sounds of lunes. The property had paddle boads which everyone had a great time with. We enjoyed the fireplace every night we were there
Great location on beautiful Maidstone Lake. Family trip. Enjoyed kayaks, paddleboards, firepit, fishing. Morning mist, evening sky, sound of loons, surrounding woods all contribute to this special place.
We had a great time at the house.Everything was as expected had a great weekend of weather loved being on such a beautiful lake. It was nice and clean and very comfortable. Will probably consider staying here again in the future. Thanks a bunch.
I stayed here with my family last week and we all loved the house. It was clean, had everything we needed, and nothing can beat the views. We spent most of our time on the porch and the dock swimming and kayaking. The lake is beautiful, off the beaten path but still close enough to everything we needed. Jeff was quick to respond to any questions we had. Would definitely go back!
Really enjoyed the beauty of being right on the lake with water toys to enjoy, being able to jump off dock into water, having our two fishing boats tied to dock. Awesome
Our family really enjoyed the time we were there and wished we had booked for longer!!! We ran out of propane and Jeff was quick to help us get set up again. The property had beautiful views and the convenience of having our boat right there was perfect. Our 2 girls both picked up the paddle board and learned a new hobby. Beautiful lake!

Absolutely Gorgeous Location
This was perfect for our needs- 3 siblings and their children getting together for some quality family time. We all enjoyed the lake (thanks to the balcony, dock and floaties) and fire pit, and the view is insane. I personally loved the homemade presentation folder on the area’s geology and ecology. I did have to restrain myself from cleaning, as it appeared the previous tenants had had wild parties and the cleaners were not left enough time before our arrival. I never figured out the fireplace or laundry facilities, and really wished I had a fishing rod, but the coffee and snacks that were left out were lovely. I would stay here again. 6 days wasn’t long enough.
The house was very clean for us upon arrival with a snack basket and everything. The views are incredible, the nature is incredible, the lake is incredible. House provides plenty of space, but you’ll want to spend all your time on the deck and dock anyway. Our kids fished for days straight, the water is amazingly clear, and the kayaks and paddle board were a lot of fun. This was exactly the house we needed for our vacation.
Our only complaints were about the grill outside needs new grates- we bought grill mats at Walmart and made it work. In the kitchen a few small essentials were missing or I wasn’t able to find like a grater, vegetable peeler, and pots and pan selection was a little lacking if you were attempting to cook for many but we were only 4 and we made do.
Don’t forget your bug spray and your life jackets and enjoy this house. We would love to return!
will be coming back again, this place was perfect for us. great location on the water, plenty of parking, plenty of cozy and clean beds and places to sleep and a big open concept living and kitchen area for families to hang out and spend time together. 10/10
Very quiet, cozy and beautiful views of the lake. The water was great jumping in off the dock! The stay was enjoyable and no issues at all. Parking was easily accessible and the house was not difficult to find. The host provided detailed directions and the check in process well in advance so we were prepared and able to ask questions before arrival. The check in process was a breeze. We just had to punch in the code to unlock the door and walk right in! To check out we packed up, cleaned up our belongings and headed out the door. A simple message to the host to let him know we were out and our weekend was complete! Beautiful place and highly recommend!
Exceptionally clean, perfectly situated house on pris3tine Maidstone Lake. Lots of thoughtful details such as the gates on both the deck and stairs helped contain little ones and dogs alike. Linens seemed brand new and of high quality. 3 different families gathered here and yet lots of parking, which isn't always the case.
We always rent waterfront homes for the fourth of July and like to explore new ponds/lakes but we have a place we hope to return to. I would have given 10 stars if possible! Thanks for sharing your beautiful lake house-we all loved it.
Had a great time, house is very comfortable, clean and well stocked, and the surrounding area is beautiful. The location and decks right on the water cant be beat! Would recommend to others and stay again! A few things I learned that might be useful to others in making plans:- The game warden was on us within 5 minutes of dropping a fishing line in the water - make sure you have the necessary fishing license (thankfully we did)- Fishing was kind of a bust, but that cant be blamed on the house - one neighbor suggested the loons eat a ton of them so youre competing against them, and we (including some reasonably experienced folks) had no luck!- The road down to the lake is 'longish', but was in good shape (e.g. its not one of those lake roads where once youre there you feel like you dont want to leave because the ride is a wreck). We drove up to Quebec (1hr) for half a day and had a great time (Coaticook had some interesting stuff)- The 'only 1 bathroom' wasn't really a big problem, even w 8 people. There is an outdoor shower which I didnt know going in and made things easier- Firewood can be bought across the lake at the state park and was easy to get- The folks that sell pizza (on fridays and saturdays seemingly) do a great job and its well worth getting (I wished I knew they had maple bacon before we ordered!). Order early in the day though, we were lucky to get our order filled even though we called right when they 'opened' - get in touch earlier in the day!
