"A great escape in the Alps."

"This was one of our favorite hotels on our rail trip through Switzerland! We visited during the last weekend before the fall tourist slow down. (Businesses and restaurants close for a month before ski season.) The hotel was clean and we were upgraded to a suite. The view of all the snowcapped mountains from our balcony was gorgeous. Breakfast was bountiful! There were many choices for us. The hotel also allowed us to leave our luggage with them after check out so that we could go sightseeing before our evening train departure. Our two regrets were that we couldn't stay more than one night and we couldn't eat more for breakfast! ;-) We highly recommend Hotel Alpenhof and will stay there again if we return to Gridelwald."

"Clean and spacious room"

"Yes, the room was spotless, the front view from the room of the running brook and the sound of serenity were unmatched. The church-view on the other side and periodical chiming of church bells made the stay surreal. Beautiful boutique hotel, well maintained and run by a family with superb connectivity and just few minutes away to Interlaken city-centre, with an awesome array of breakfast. Just a wonderful experience of a lifetime, backdrop of the Swiss Alps with picture post-card look. 100% recommended for a memorable stay. "

"The staff here was super helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is great- surrounded by mountains even if we didn’t technically have a mountain facing room. The building itself is beautiful. Walking around the first floor, you see lots of lovely common spaces. It feels very grand and fancy. I would definitely stay here again if I’m in Wengen again."

"Cute hotel, chalet-style made the Switzerland trip even more special. Perfect location a nice walk to the train station ot bus stop right across the street. Walking distance to restaurants, COOP and a pharmacy. On the same street as the bus going towards Thun as well. Staff at the front desk were amazing and helpful for any questions or issues we had. Area was so quiet too. Breakfast had enough options for food. Price of the hotel was decent. "
