Here's some reviews this lovely home away from home have received: July 2022 Ryan Len and Katie are fantastic hosts. Excellent and timely communication. Their beautiful cabin is extremely clean and completely stocked with quality kitchen ware and plenty of paper towels, t/p, and things like plastic sandwich bags, foil, etc. The house had a great BBQ and all the utensils needed as well as beach towels, washer / dryer, and A/C! Which was great during a hot week. Having stayed with my family in countless rentals over the years I’ve only ever saved a couple that I’d like to stay at again and this is absolutely one of them.
May 2022 Brian Basically a little slice of heaven. Our stay was absolutely perfect. Len and Katie have thought of everything to make staying here an amazing experience. Super clean and organized. Very quiet and peaceful. We saw deer and even a wild turkey while sitting on the porch. Definitely made memories here that we will never forget! Highly recommend staying here!

What to do!
Our favorite restaurants: Iron Door Saloon: Oldest continuously running saloon in California. Two Guys Pizza: Close by and great Pizza. Cocina Michoacana: Good Mexican food Evergreen Lodge: 45 minutes away. Turn left on Evergreen Road just before the park entrance. Go 7 miles. Best restaurant in the area! Where Len works. Rush Creek Lodge: Just before the Yosemite Park gate. Great restaurant. Sister property to Evergreen Lodge. Buck Meadows Restaurant: Open seasonally, 20 minutes away, but great for a good breakfast on the way to Yosemite.
Do not use GPS to get to Yosemite! Go back to Groveland and turn left on Hwy 120. Come back the same way as you have to use the Main Gate.
Yosemite National Park Big Oak Flat gate is about 30 minutes away. The 7 day entrance fee per car is $35. When you enter the park you will be given a map of the park and a newspaper outlining current events. Besides the main valley don’t miss: Vernal Falls Mariposa Grove Sequoias (or at least go to Tuolumne Grove) Tunnel View Glacier Point (closed in Winter, call the above number for current conditions) Tioga Pass and Kennedy Meadows (closed in Winter, call the above number for current conditions) One of my favorite shorter hikes is May Lake (or if you’re feeling fit, carry on to Mount Hoffman) off Tioga Road.
You may also think about visiting Hetch Hetchy. Groveland and the San Francisco peninsula get water from the reservoir there. It has a wonderful trail of about 2 miles to a beautiful waterfall. The best part is that it is not as crowded as the main part of the park. To get there take Hwy 120 and just after Rush Creek Resort (1 mile before the Park entrance) turn left onto Evergreen Road. It’s 8 miles down that road. You pass through Evergreen Lodge after 7 miles which has an amazing restaurant.
While we are pet friendly please do not leave your pet unattended on the property. Please, no pets on the furniture or beds. We provide doggie bowls and poop bags which should be disposed of in the outside trash cans. Please note that pets are only allowed on paved roads and trails, on a leash, in Yosemite National Park.
Guests are welcome to use the washer and dryer and laundry soap.

Perfect place for us to stay after a long backpacking trip, comfortable, clean and all the amenities for a relaxing few days. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us. We enjoyed making our meals, sitting on the porch, and just generally enjoyed our time. It was close enough to Yosemite for us to make a couple of day trips into the park.

Three couples stayed at this cabin for one night before a back packing trip. It was a perfect place to stay and we all thought it was beautifully decorated and it had anything we may have needed. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!
