Relaxing Stay

Stayed for a couple of nights when visiting family, found the hotel superb, room comfortable, restaurant served good quality food and was delicious. Staff very friendly especially the chef who served us our breakfast. Lovely location in a pretty little village.

A great quiet location of the beaten track. Rooms clean and comfortable and the food was fantastic! Stayed here for 3x night for a business trip. Definitely will return if I am in the area again. Surrounded by fields, as an option, I took a walk along one of the fields adjacent to the hotel.

Excellent place

Nice hotel and room was very big. Good service from the staff. The pie of the day I had for dinner was one of best I've ever tasted. Full of proper steak and kidney. Truly excellent! Would definitely be staying here again.

As someone who travels with work around the country this one of my favourite places to stay. Friendly staff, lovely rooms, nice bar & restaurant on site, reasonable price....cant fault it!

A lovely overnight stay for us, just a shame we arrived late evening so couldn’t really make the most of the facilities! Fabulous evening meal and reasonably priced then a lovely breakfast. Would definitely recommend

Nice room but too hot!

The hotel was nice however there was an issue with the boiler which meant none of the radiators could be controlled in the rooms and were on at full blast as long as the main boiler was on. The room was absolutely stifling hot even with windows open full. Luckily the heat didn’t stay on all night. The man at reception said there were aware of the issue and did hope to get it fixed soon.

Mattress very uncomfortable,had a job to get to sleep, cobwebs in room. Shower not working properly, and meal in evening was not what I ordered and they wouldn’t reduce the cost. So a bit disappointed.

REVIEWS JUSTIFIED

Lovely and quiet area, plenty of parking, beautiful grounds. Friendly reception, clean, well decorated rooms. Nice bathroom. Bed slightly soft for my taste, but slept ok. Restaurant is a separate building next to bedrooms and is impressive and cosy. Service was very good. Food was nice, and plentiful of options. I will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Recommended stay.

A very nice boutique hotel about 20mins drive from Grimsby. Nice welcome, great food and a lovely breakfast. Lovely star from check-in, restaurant and reception. Only drawback was a noisy fan in the bathroom but I'm being a bit picky now. Not a massive issue but worth a look from the maintenance people on site. Heating goes off early which may be an issue for some but found the room, bed etc. all very comfortable. Definitely return when next in the area.

What a gem. If you are staying in the part of the country stay here. Head and shoulders above anywhere else we have stayed whilst visiting family in Lincolnshire. Tucked away down a lane past the church the property is lovely - it is quiet and opens out to open farmland and countryside. Room was lovely, spacious, modern and clean. Staff were amazing and ever helpful. The hotel has a restaurant across the courtyard from the hotel and the food was wonderful. We are vegan and they had options for us as well as our none vegan family who joined us for dinner. You would have to travel a long way to have a better meal. We will be back here - hopefully soon.
