Direct train to airport and other cities or tram to historic part of city steps away. Host, Adam, is very communicative and lives on premises-- like saying at a friend's. "The hotel is well maintained, exceptionally clean, has wonderful linens. We stayed in an upstairs room with very narrow winding staircase with no handrails. Difficult to navigate as we are a senior couple. The room was small, but well appointed. However, the peaked ceiling did not allow for a complete wall between the bedroom and bathroom and afforded little privacy. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. "Our room was very clean and comfortable. It looked exactly like the photos. We were on the 2nd floor and faced the main road. With the windows closed, there was minimal noise from outside. The hotel itself was very quiet. The location is quite good as it is outside of the main tourist areas but there is a bus only a 5 minute walk away which will take you to Brussels Centraal. We stayed here 2 nights at the start of our holiday and one night at the end."

Hasty conversion of a traditional Brussels home by freelance contractor. Shame because very good location in relation to EU institutions. Unfortunately an EU summit subjected us to helicopter patrols which made it hard to get some sleep."
