Souda Bay Cottage is a delightful, single-story holiday retreat of 70 square meters, nestled on the stunning south coast of Crete with panoramic views over the breathtaking Souda Bay. Just a short drive from the charming village of Plakias, the cottage enjoys an ideal location overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the South Coast Sea, as well as the picturesque Souda and Plakias Bays. It offers the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience, with all essential amenities close at hand for a relaxing and comfortable holiday.

Inside, the cottage includes two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two twin beds, each with its own en-suite bathroom, fully equipped and modern. The open-plan kitchen is outfitted with all necessary appliances and flows seamlessly into a cozy dining area. The inviting living room includes a flat-screen satellite TV and a fireplace, opening onto a covered, furnished patio ideal for outdoor dining or simply relaxing while taking in the magnificent views and peaceful ambiance.

The cottage is fronted by a lush, green lawn and features an 18-square-meter private swimming pool, surrounded by sun loungers, umbrellas, and stylish outdoor seating areas—perfect for soaking up the sun or unwinding in the shade.

Absolutely recommendable!

Absolutely recommendable! We had a wonderful stay. We were warmly welcomed with regional specialties (wine, olive oil, jam) and felt very comfortable. Fantastic sea view! Atmospherically lit garden in the evening! Lots of seating in the garden! Absolutely recommendable!

Haus im Olivenhain

Das Haus liegt sehr schön uns separat in einem Olivenhain. Es ist ein Ă€lteres Haus, das aber grundlegend renoviert und offenbar auch erweitert wurde. Mehrere mĂ€chtige Palmen sowie OlivenbĂ€ume stehen auf dem GrundstĂŒck. Es gibt eine kleine RasenflĂ€che und viele Blumen, die auch tĂ€glich gepflegt werden. Dieser Bewuchs unterscheidet das Ferienhaus von vielen anderen neuen HĂ€usern, wo kaum Pflanzen vorhanden sind, oft sogar Kunstrasen. Die Vermieterin wohnt etwa 50 m entfernt in der Loggia. Sie ist um das Wohl der GĂ€ste sehr bemĂŒht und sehr freundlich, hĂ€lt sich aber sonst eher im Hintergrund. Eine wunderschöne Terrasse, 2 Balkone und der Pool laden dazu ein, ganze Tage auf dem GrundstĂŒck zu verbringen. Es gibt ausreichend Schatten und einen herrlichen Blick auf das Libysche Meer. Wir haben nur eine GeschirrspĂŒlmaschine und ausreichend Geschirr vermisst. Wer will im Urlaub schon per Hand abwaschen?

Abgeschiedenheit und trotzdem alles in der NĂ€he

Das Haus liegt etwa zehn Autominuten vom nĂ€chsten Ort entfernt. Sehr schöne Tavernen und SupermĂ€rkte. Es liegt sehr abgeschieden, vollkommene PrivatsphĂ€re. Der Pool ist zwar sehr klein aber ausreichend. Die Aussicht ist wunderschön! Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich. Eine kleine idyllische Badebucht mit Sand und FelsvorsprĂŒnge ist zu Fuß erreichbar (es geht sehr steil runter und dann wieder sehr steil rauf!).Mit dem Auto nur ein paar Minuten zu fahren. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus in SĂŒdlage

Sehr schönes gepflegtes und sauberes Haus in ruhiger Berglage und tollem Meerblick. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt und entspannt. Die Besitzerin kam alle 2 Tage zum frische WĂ€sche bringen und nach dem Rechten zu schauen. (bei nur 7 Tagen Aufenthalt wĂ€re das nicht unbedingt notwendig gewesen) wer katzenallergisch ist, sollte aufpassen..auf der Terrasse wohnt die Hauskatze, die zum Inventar gehört. Auch wĂ€re ein gelĂ€ndegĂ€ngiges Auto von Vorteil. Die Strasse zum Haus ist zum Teil unbefestigt.

TrÚs bon séjour !

Nous avons passĂ© un excellent sĂ©jour ! La maison est propre et relativement bien Ă©quipĂ©e. L'extĂ©rieur est trĂšs agrĂ©able avec la piscine (bien que trĂšs petite, plutĂŽt un bassin). Une femme de mĂ©nage passe tous les deux jours redonner un petit coup de propre et change les serviettes et les draps. Quelques petits "moins" Ă  noter : - L'accĂšs est trĂšs compliquĂ©, prĂ©voyez une voiture avec un bon moteur :) - Le principe de climatisation est un peu compliquĂ© Ă  gĂ©rer : toutes les fenĂȘtres de la maison et la porte doivent ĂȘtre fermĂ©es pour pouvoir l'utiliser > Difficile Ă  gĂ©rer si une personne veut se coucher plus tĂŽt. - Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de lave vaisselle (et de micro ondes) - Nous avons eu 2 coupures d'Ă©lectricitĂ© de plusieurs heures lors de notre sĂ©jour
