Supposed to pay on arrival and had already charged my card prior to arrival. Rooms very tired, tv didn’t work, carpets all thread bare. Needs a refurb

The short break we had at the carlton hotel was undoubtedly one of the best we have had. The hotel staff were so welcoming from the time we arrived to the time we left. A delicious breakfast was available to all guests.Please let me say the food was incredible. We will return to the carlton hotel on our next break without a moments hesitation. The room costs are amazing for what you get, The carlton in my opinion is doing a great at attracting guests to the hotel. Excellent work to all whom work at the carlton hotel to make our the guests holiday breaks memorable

The hotel was nice but it was a bit dated and needed a bit of tlc to the doors and walls. It was an all round lovely stay apart from the fire alarm going off at 1:30am and the breakfast was nice could maybe have had a few more options with what was there. The staff were helpful and friendly. But overall we had a lovely time and would come back again. For the price I didn’t expect anything more.

I stayed here for 2 nights and wouldn't stay any longer. The rooms are so outdated it's unreal and the worst I've ever stayed at. First is the carpet in the hallways- It's so old and ripped that it needs a refurb. Also the floors are so creaky it's about to break. Second is the bathroom. The shower rail and the shower head are completely loose. Literally they are all hanging off the wall. Finally the TV cable. We did not have a TV due to the ethernet cable port being broken. I literally shocked myself by touching it because it's live. Oh yeah and the noise in the room was like your ears ringing because they have a hyfire unit in the rooms. The only good thing was being so close to the seafront and free parking but that's it really.

Was a lovely stay, staff were friendly and helpful and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of choice for breakfast and good value 3 course meal in the evening with good choices. My only negative would be the hotel is a little tired and the rooms could do with refreshing and updating.

Lovely hotel. We really loved our room and can’t wait to go back to same room. However, we didn’t like that the TV had no signal and no one bothered to sort the problem until day 3. Just after the sorted it, they can back again and took the booster away and we never had TB 4th say. It’s was so hard to get them solving such a small simple thing. Also no smile from staff. It was hard to translate what emotions they are giving.
