"It was the setting. While I’m not into Hallmark movies, my wife very much is and we both referenced that throughout our stay. The staff was amazing, the fact that the deer in the area are so calm and feed is readily available at the gift shop helped my wife feel like a Disney princess. The events and amenities work well to have a full day without leaving the campus. A favorite of mine was talking to an old gentleman in the Blizzard lounge while playing checkers with my wife and just sharing life stories. It was cozy and we are definitely coming back in the future. It was worth the cost (we had a pool in our room!). We are already talking with my brother and his wife about dueling couples next time. Amazing stay. Definitely recommend!"

Just to note the main bedroom is on the main floor with three large bedrooms downstairs. Each bedroom has a large tv and a heater, in case you like it a little warmer, even with the house heater on. "The operator responded promptly to communications and was helpful and cordial. The house was clean, neat, cozy, and homey. Not elegant, but casual, relaxed and family style. Just right for us. If I go up that way again, I will definitely stay there. As a matter of fact, knowing that place is there makes it more likely I will return and spend more time there.
