Terrific hotel but overnight noise problem
"The hotel was very clean and the room was comfortable. Unfortunately it backs onto a night club that stays open until 4 a.m., so if you're a light sleeper, book elsewhere. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and apart from the noise it was perfect."

Remarkably good inn, in a remarkably good location, with remarkably good food and extraordinarily nice hosts. In summary, The Royal Oak is English rural culture at its very best. It is something a hotel chain can never be.
